  • Riverfront Rental Sits on a quiet street in downtown South Elgin. This home gives you complete access to the Fox River. The bedrooms are on the main level, along with a beautiful kitchen featuring cherry cabinets and an island with breakfast bar, and an awesome four-season porch overlooking the backyard and the beautiful river setting. The second-level loft has great natural light . Outside, you'll find concrete patio and walkway, and stairs leading down to the river and firepit. I don't allow any PARTIES!! of any kind ,NO smoking, No Pets . No eating in the bedrooms. PLEASE KNOW THAT I HAVE security cameras on my property outside. please follow and read all the house rules before booking.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy lakeside house! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, the river is very tranquil, perfect for relaxing mornings. Lots to do in the area, perfect for big groups. Host was so helpful and very kind. We would definitely stay here again!!

A new favorite rental

The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The downstairs area was the perfect size for me and my husband. We enjoyed the multiple options for sitting and watching the river (enclosed back porch, or back yard). Good birding, too. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed walking across the nearby bridge to the greenway trail on the other side of the river. We hope to stay again next time we visit the area!

Comfortable, charming home

I loved all of the touches in the home. It's got a lot of vintage charm with all of the comforts of home. The snacks and waters left by the owner were such a nice, welcoming touch. The owner was super quick to answer my questions. The river outside was really nice to sit by. I wish we would have had just a little more time there so we could have enjoyed the firepit but all in all a great place to stay.

BEWARE!

This property has INSIDE cameras! We noticed it on the enclosed porch which has a window directly under it that shows the bathroom area. When the owner was asked about it they stated “it’s not on when guests are there” how are we supposed to believe that! It’s creepy and gross! The neighborhood is a bit rough, the neighbors across the street were out until 1am playing loud music and partying

Nature in the suburbs

We really enjoyed being able to see the river & ducks & geese from this rental. In the morning we woke up hearing red winged blackbirds singing and mallards quacking. Being on a dead end street is a bonus, unless you like traffic. Unless we missed it in the rental description, you may want to inform people about the steep, slippery stairs to upper beds. We did fine but a second hand rail may be helpful. We really enjoyed this rental & hope to return next spring.

Great place to stay near St. Charles/Geneva. Will definitely stay again next time we visit. Plenty of room, great view, super easy access to west suburbs, North Ave./Randal Rd,/25/31, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle etc. Host was great, respected our privacy. Super hot shower!
Right on the Fox River.
Plenty of space for a large family. Lots of Knick-knacks so best suited for ages 7+.
Quiet street, very little traffic.
