Absolutely beautiful property and amazing hosts to match! We stayed here two nights and hosted our micro-wedding which was the perfect location! The house is absolutely immaculate and updated with a cute nautical theme in EVERY room. Even the guests at our wedding were going to look into staying at the property in the future. John is a phenomenal host and we absolutely will be returning back one day.

John’s place was great. The location is wonderful and it’s very comfortable. It comes well equipped with plenty of bikes, beach towels and toys and was great for our large family of grandparents, parents and kids. John was a great communicator and gave us an early check-in and late check out. We’d love to back and stay at John’s place Chatham again.

Great location, great house

Our family of five had so much fun at cape cod. The house was in a perfect location for us to bike around, go to beach and explore other beaches around the area. The bikes and useful items that the owners left for us were amazing. We would definitely recommend this to friends or anyone looking to explore cape cod!

Family Vacation in Chatham.

The property was very clean and suited our needs well. The owners were very responsive to all questions and needs. It is a great location with a private beach a 5 minute walk and other beaches a short drive away. Highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Great Value for a Great Vacation

The property is immaculately maintained, very well equipped and centrally located for any mid-Cape activity. Quiet cul de sac. Spacious but not too big. Furnishings and general vibe is fresh and nautical themed. All around a great host, house and 5 week vacation.

Wonderful winter weekend in Chatham!

We absolutely loved our stay at John's place! The home looks exactly like the pictures and it was pristine when we arrived. The check-in process was incredibly smooth and John was extremely accommodating for us to check in both early and depart late. His welcome guide for the home came in handy multiple times - especially his recommendation for linen rentals (we would also highly recommend Cape Cod Linen Rentals - David was fantastic!). The home had all of the amenities we needed and it was a great place for two families with small children to stay. It's very close to a number of beaches, which were great for some winter walks, and not too far from Chatham's downtown. We also loved that we were able to bring our dog for the weekend. We truly had zero complaints or concerns about our stay - one of the most pleasant home rental experiences our group has had. We will definitely be back!

Lovely home, lovely stay

House is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood which is great for walking. Forest Beach nearby—- and a great overlook also in ways walking distance where we had a great view of an active osprey nest.

Attended wedding with friends

The property is in a very nice neighborhood - a quiet and private area. Walkable to the beach. It was in excellent condition and clean. The recent remodeling/updating is fantastic. Bike supply was terrific and we biked to the beach and the local rail to trail. Landlord was very communicative, generous and helpful. I highly recommend this home.

Great Spot for Family Vacation!

We had a fantastic family vacation with grandparents, our 2-year old child, and our mini goldendoodle! The house is in a beautiful neighborhood in South Chatham - quiet, private, and a short 0.6 mile walk (or drive) to the beach. The beach is long and great for walking on and for finding sea shells. Chatham downtown (restaurants, shops, etc) is only about a 10-12 minute drive. The house itself is very clean and in great condition and many of the spaces appear to be newly updated. This is a perfect family space with multiple sitting rooms and communal areas. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the beds were comfortable. John (the owner) is really on top of everything, and made sure we had everything we needed! There are also lots of bikes available in the garage. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Lovely little home

A lovely and well-maintained house on the Cape

We had a lovely stay at this house in Chatham. The location is great the neighborhood is lovely and a close walk to the beach. The house is beautifully maintained and equipped with a lot of high-end features that made the stay truly enjoyable. I cannot recommend it enough.

Beautiful and Comfortable Home Away from Home

My husband and I spent a week enjoying the Cape and relaxing at this cozy home. The house was as beautiful as the pictures and you could tell the care and thought that went into the renovation. The kitchen was well equipped with everything and the bedroom was amazingly quiet and comfortable-- the best I have slept in a long time! John, the owner was very communicative and great to deal with. Thanks for making our vacation a real treat. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

I loved the Cape Escape! My friends and I thought the home was even more beautiful than the photographs - sunny interior with room to spend time together and little nooks for "me time" also. Beds were very comfortable and the home was spotless. My only regret is that I am not there now. Location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood and easy driving distance to beach or main street. The beach is also an easy bike ride away and very private. John and Ruth are terrific hosts. I would go back in a heartbeat. If you have kids, definitely check out the natural history museum - it's only 7 miles away and worth the trip.

Felt right at home!

This home has an amazing balance of elegance and that welcoming "homie" feeling to it. Its a great size for two couples and kids. Location was great since you can get to a few different parts of the Cape fairly easily. Biking to the beach was a highlight of the trip. The patio was the perfect spot to wind down at night. John was an amazing host who made sure we had everything we needed before and during the trip. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful 'Cape Escape'

We had a fabulous 2 week stay at 'Cape Escape'. This is the perfect home for a family vacation. The home is spotless with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. A beautiful deck and back yard were enjoyed by my entire family. John's recommendations for both ocean beach and pond were spot on. I highly recommend! Thanks John

Great owner!

John, the owner, was excellent about communicating with us in a timely fashion and doing whatever he could to improve our visit. We had people ages 5-50 staying in the home. Even though we were rained out the entire weekend and could not enjoy most of the outdoor amenities he had available (i.e. grill, back porch, beach equipment), our entire group enjoyed the leisurely 4 minute bike ride to the private beach. There were so many bikes provided, including a bicycle built for 2, with which we had fun. The home is in a very quiet cul-de-sac so there were no cars zooming by. We felt comfortable with our kids playing outside. Our only suggestion would be to provide linens and incidentals (shampoo, bath soap, replacement paper towels, etc). For short term vacation rentals where one is hoping to pack lightly, sheets and towels for 10 people and incidentals took up 2 suitcases worth of room for us. It was extremely difficult to place sheets on the highest of the bunk beds which was much higher than a standard top bunk. However our boys enjoyed this bunk bed room and it was great for the kids.

We had an amazing stay in Chatham, MA.

The weather was beautiful, we could easily walk to the beach or ride one of the many provided bikes (which was great!!). The house was clean, the rooms were nice and big. Lots of room to sit quietly and read or play games with the family. John was great to work with. Overall a very relaxing vacation.
