    Al Mare Apartment is located in Sorrento just a short distance from the beach. It is 70 metres squared and can sleep up to 4 people. It features a private, panoramic balcony with a view of the sea and of the coastline. From Al Mare Apartment, you will enjoy a wonderful view over the bay of Naples, of Mount Vesuvius, of the Marina Grande in Sorrento and of the sea.



    At Al Mare Apartment you are approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transport. You are only 20 metres from the closest beach, Marina Grande. Al Mare Apartment is located on the third floor of a four-story building and is accessible from the building’s main entrance by walking up approximately 50 stairs.



    As you enter the apartment, you arrive in the lounge. Here, there is a double bed. From the lounge, you can access the bathroom, kitchen and main bedroom. Usually, the apartment is pleasantly cool due to sea breeze but fans are available if you wish. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, four gas ring hobs, a microwave and a fridge freezer. There is a small, high window. In the kitchen, you will also find a dining table which can accommodate four guests.



    The main bedroom has a double bed, a TV and boasts a small balcony with a table and chairs. Enjoy a drink ‘al fresco’ whilst admiring the stunning views of the bay of Naples, of Mount Vesuvius, of the Marina Grande in Sorrento and of the sea. The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bath and a shower, a bidet and a washing machine. The owner runs afish restaurant by the seafront which is100 metres (approximately 2 minutes' walk)from the apartment. Here youcan get free internet access butdo not need to purchase anything; the owner will give you the WIFI code.Internet access isnot in the apartment.



    You will not need a car to stay at Al Mare Apartment but if you do have one, you will be able to park it approximately 300 metres away, for a fee, in a parking space (where a space can be reserved). Alternatively, you can park it along the public roads but tickets would need to be purchased (the actual distance may vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).

What a beautiful spot on the planet. The view from our room over Marina Grande, The Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius was spectacular. Our host Antonio was awesome and his restaurant was perfect for us. It was a great location for us to explore the Amalfi Coast. We visited Capri, Positano, and Pompei. Thank you for letting us stay in the Yellow Mansion. It was a nice home away from home in Sorrento.

Stay in Sorrento

We loved staying here, this was a great location overlooking Marina Grande in a much quieter part of Sorrento. The owner Antonio was a great host, very friendly and accommodating, he also has a restaurant down below ( O’Puledrone ) that had fantastic food, we ate there twice it was so good. We would highly recommend staying here for the convenient location and great views of the bay.

Brilliant location

A brilliant location directly in front of the small beach of Marina Grande and surrounded by the many restaurants. We just wanted a place to stop, which we found and often sat outside on the balcony with the table in between (hint, use one of the books on the bookshelf to balance the table).

Via del Mar 170 n. Marina Grande was roomy and we enjoyed our 4 nights there. We especially liked the authentic experience of a small fishing village that is within steps of the vacation destination of beautiful Sorrento. Our favorite part was to wake up each morning and see the view out the balcony window. Early morning we watched as the town prepared for another day and could watch as a lone fisherman rowed out in his tiny boat and came back in about an hour. Alfonso is extremely responsive and a great host. I was concerned about the steps up to the apartment but Micheala from the il Puledrone restuarant helped us with all our bags and there a landing at each floor. It ended up being no problem. We had a few plumbing issues that were immediately taken care of also. Considering that this apartment building is old and it is in a small seaport, there is rust and wear. There is a tiny store extremely close by with groceries that we found all we needed to make breakfast and lunch while there.

Sorrento Marina Grande heaven

Great property in a perfect location for us - just a few steps to the beach, Ristorante O’Puledrone (apartment owner’s restaurant) only 100 meters away, little convenience store downstairs. Three flights of stairs to the apartment but the view from the perfect little balcony makes it worthwhile. Antonio’s hospitality in O’Puledrone was amazing, he couldn’t do enough for us. Have done many rental properties and this was a highlight.

Lovely Marina Grande apartment

The location is superb, you can’t get any closer to the Marina Grande waterfront than this! The accommodations were simple and clean, no frills but very comfortable. One should be aware that the apartment is up three flights of stairs which wasn’t a problem for us but might be if you have limitations. Also, be aware that there is no Wi-Fi :) Antonio and his family were wonderful and we had a fantastic time!

Absolutely Amazing - You Need to Stay Here

We stayed at a few places on our honeymoon and no place made us feel more taken care of than this one. Antonio and Alfonso were there for our every need. I am not being hyperbolic at all when I say that the moment sincr meeting Antonio at O'Puledrones our honeymoon got significantly better (and it was pretty great to start with). If you are considering staying here let me convince you it's a great idea. Not to mention the amazing view from the room, the great location on the docks and a warm, welcoming host. Thank you, Antonio!! We hope to see you again soon

Host was not on site. A young man unlocked the apartment for us and left. WE had to go looking for someone who knew how to help us get into the apartment. Of course, our lack of understanding Italian did not help. There are no directions or information on rules, how to run the washer/dryer combo. Flushing the toilet was very difficult due to the set up. The view from the apartment was beautiful. Very noisy at night from the restaurant/bars below the apartment. Unable to keep the doors open at night to hear the ocean surf. The pictures on the ad show a balcony/terrace with bistro table and chairs. Very deceptive. Table did not fit on 2ft. wide balcony so we sat on the inside of the apartment with the doors wide open. Main living area is very dark without lights on at all times.Great sweet neighbors. I wanted an immersion in the 'real' Italian living, and we got it. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation.

Lovely apartment

I stayed at the apartment with 3 of my friends and it was a great experience. Antonio and his family are extremely friendly and helpful, we visited their restaurant multiple times during our 2 week trip and enjoyed each meal. The apartment is clean and represented well. We stayed there during a heat wave in the area and we were provided with fans. I would highly recommend staying here as it is in a calmer area of town and only takes about 10/15 min walk to the main square. I would keep in mind that there is no wifi at the apartment and only at the restaurant which is about 200m away from the apartment. This is a great place to stay with family/friends and would urge anyone going to sorrento to stay here!!

Good harborside apartment!

The apartment was roomy and very clean. The glassware could be updated to include some wine glasses (!) but overall it had everything we needed. The location in the smaller harbor (not the big harbor that ferry boats and larger tours use) has some good restaurants and a little market. It's pretty quiet. No AC but has an occilating fan and good cross breezes so we were comfortable during our mid-September stay. Be prepared to walk up stairs as the apartment is on the third floor. We did a lot of walking up from the apartment into the main part of Sorrento but we felt safe there, even later at night. All in all a great stay!

This apartment deserves 5 stars for its location, the view from our breakfast table, the feeling of being safe, the cleanliness, abundance of hot water, the efficiency of its shower and the warmth of Antonio’s greeting .You should note that that the apartment only offers basic cooking facilities - it would benefit from a mixing bowl, a couple of new mugs, a sharp kitchen knife and some weighing scales . Also, the apartment has old style three pin plugs which our European 2 pin adapters did not fit - luckily there was one adapter in a cupboard and we were able to use adapters from the hairdryer and kettle . The flush for the toilet was a challenge …. It had to be pumped many times to work and appeared to not operate during the night . There are a few short flights of steps to the apartment to consider and the walk into central Sorrento is uphill but nothing too strenuous . There are plenty of good restaurants on the doorstep - we only ate at O’Puledrone, which was excellent. There is a convenience store literally next door with everything you might need. There was a bit of confusion about a 100Euro breakages deposit beforehand and the links sent for the balance payment were not live which caused some angst but these were minor issues which did not detract from a beautiful stay. Hope to return

Sorrento Seaside

We enjoyed our stay in the Marina Grande apartment from the first day of our vacation to the last. We loved having a spot to enjoy our morning coffees and evening wine by the sea. The apartment was a great place to enjoy time away from the busier parts of Sorrento. While we did walk to the city center many times (20 minutes) to shop, eat, tour, ferry- we could have stayed in Marina Grande for the week and been completely happy. We only cooked a hot meal in the apartment once. While there were sufficient tools to do so, it was small- we were on vacation so were just happy to have use of the fridge, stove (no oven), and sink. The small washer was great- we used a couple of times and it really made it easy to pack light! Light fabric dried easy on the drying rack. There is a fully stocked market below the apartment with a deli, several restaurants, a nearby cafe, gifts, boating information, beach chairs for rent, etc., The people of Marina Grande are amazing- friendly and hard working. We took a taxi from the train station to the apartment, and communication (use WhatsApp) was easy with the property manager who works in a nearby family restaurant (O'Puledrone). We ate there several times, the food was delicious and fresh. We enjoyed cold beverages after a day of walking/ touring there as well! We so look forward to returning.

Room With a Great View

This apartment is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sorrento. It is located in Marina Grande, a small secluded bay. Many restaurants were available on the beach with the freshest seafood imaginable. The apartment was great. The best part for us was being able to keep the patio door open at night to enjoy the breeze and hear the surf of the ocean. Check in was easy. Alfonso was in regular contact with us. Antonio his manager was very welcoming and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location in Marina Grande

Comfortable apartment right on the water in Marina Grande. Beautiful view of Mt Vesuvius. Fun, energy filled area day and night. Lots of restaurants and a store just steps from the apartment. The doors open to the balcony and you can move the table and chairs. We enjoyed many drinks and charcuterie boards while watching the active beach below and sunsets from our balcony. The apartment does not have A/C but we were fine with the sea breeze and a fan. Surprisingly there weren’t any mosquitoes and we slept with the doors open and listened to the waves. There are 59 steps up the the apartment (my daughter counted) but we found it doable for the week we were there. Property manager Antonio was very helpful.

Holiday 2019

This property has all mod cons, It is in a beautiful location, with stunning views , beautiful restaurants . We arrived at Antonio's restaurant to get the keys and it was seamless. We paid our deposit and Antonio's uncle escorted us to the apartment and helped us with our luggage as we had quite a few steps to climb.. The apartment is located practically on the beach and beside quite a few restaurants. It has all mod cons and was spotlessly clean. I could not fault it in any way and would have no hesitation in recommending it for a holiday. We will definitely be back here again. Mile Grazie,

Just OK

The apartment was what I expected. Yes it was "Luminous" because the french doors open to the sea view. It's on the 3rd floor - no elevator. The view was spectacular! Antonio (the owner) was just great. His restaurant was marvelous. He needs to drop Naples Villas because of extremely high booking fees.

The apartment is right on the beach, and fairly spacious for a family of 4. Lacks in some essentials, like some basic kitchen items, WiFi, towels, ... In general it was a great place and Antonio took good care of us.

Bay view stay in Sorrento

The apartment was perfect for our needs. It had everything we needed and it was a joy to get up every morning to open the balcony doors to the fabulous view of the bay and Mt. Vesuvius. The Grand Marina has everything one might need for an extended stay within 200 feet of the apartment. For shopping or more exotic fare, downtown is a short walk up the hill. We would stay at this property again in a heartbeat!

Quaint Marina Grande

The apartment in Marina Grande was, clean, convenient, you'll feel like one of the locals, and Mamma Mia, does it have a breathtaking view. Marina Grande is a wonderful place to stay, although there are many restaurants in the area, it is a rather quiet location. So many wonderful views out the window, Mt. Vesuvius, small fishing boats, many bright colors & a stone path up to the main street in Sorrento. It may seem a little out of the way, but it is just minutes from everything that is going on in Sorrento. Antonio, who oversees the rental, owns a restaurant, just steps away from the apartment. He is very accommodating and charming. His restaurant is a fisherman's cooperative and the fish is so fresh and his dishes wonderful. Try the white fish with tomato - best I've ever had. The day of departure I felt saddened that I had to leave. You'll enjoy Marina Grande, the sidewalk cafe's, the many wonderful restaurants, from casual to a little more uptown, you can find just what you are looking for. Enjoy!
