We adored our spacious, clean, comfortable home away from home in the small and friendly town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, near Sorrento. Maria and Giovanno could not have been more charming, helpful, and welcoming! We ate several delicious meals in tiny Sant'Agata; in particular Ristorante Lo Stuzzichino (perfect dishes, great ambience, and multi generational family in the kitchen!) and the delightful Tutt'Appost- Enoteca Wine Bar, which served us some fabulous meat dishes and outstanding wines on a beautiful terrace. When we arrived we were greeted with a delightful fruit plate and bottles of Prosecco and local wines, amongst other treats.Giovanni was most helpful to us in every way, justifiably cautioning my husband about the difficulties of driving on the extremely narrow streets and mountain switchbacks in the town or for our days and evenings in Sorrento. He provided a wonderful taxi service whenever asked, and had I not prebooked some excursions and restaurants on the recommendation of a friend, I would have certainly asked him to arrange things for us.My only caveat is that for older folks with breathing or other health issues, trips into town on foot may be a challenge. Overall a lovely town, sweet host and hostess, and a very clean, safe, and well appointed home.
