Unprepared for guests

When we arrived we had ants in the kitchen. So ant traps were placed around the floors and counters. The drains in the sinks and showers were all restricted. So someone came in and poured a strong acid down the drains. It was so strong that it took the chrome off the drain hardware. The apartment smelled so bad of sulfur that we had to open all the windows and keep water running down the drains for a couple of days. The shower stalls were very small and on one of them the glass door had broken off and was replaced with a shower curtain. The stall was so small that you couldn’t help but have the shower curtain be rubbing against you while you showered. There was no clothes dryer and the clothesline was broken. So we had to drape our washed clothes on these portable stands. It was a mess. The apartment was next to a gas station. So you had to walk through the gas station and by the motorcycle repair shop to get to the apartment entrance. On our visit to Italy, we had such beautiful VRBOs in Rome and Venice. This property was just a miserable disappointment. We stayed for six days and it seems we had one problem after another The only great part of this stay was Sorrento itself and the women that work at Amore Rentals. They helped us with every problem that came up and then some. We could not recommend this apartment in its current condition.

Great location

We loved Sorrento! It was easy to get here from the train station, and we walked everywhere from this apartment. It was comfortable and functional. Even the pull-out couch bed was comfortable enough for sleeping. The big sliding windows were my favorite part!

Second time there

This was the second time we have fooled this property. It’s a great place to stay. Only issue we had was the washing door was nearly impossible to get open. Was very frustrating.

Do not get catfished! Apartment not as pictured!

We set up a stay here for last week and arrived and it was nothing as described. We arrived and the elevator was broken (would have never booked if we had known this was going to be an issue as the apartment was on the fifth floor). The pictures do not look like what is in the listing. No artwork on the walls, no pillows on the beds, Shampoo and conditioner is provided but in little single use packets (one for each bathroom), only 2 of the 3 AC units worked, tiles on the floor were lifting, etc. The primary bedroom backed up to a train track that was super loud, and the location was not convenient and somewhat scary. It was so different than what we thought we were getting that we called VRBO, got our money back and made a reservation at a hotel. We had to pay significantly more but did it in order to get out of staying here. Until they have these changes completed, I would not stay here.

Perfect spot for our Sorrento stay!

We loved this apartment. We were 4 adults and it had plenty of space, king beds, an elevator and AC which is rare in that area. Would definitely stay here again. Great location. Walk to everything!

Great Stay the only problem was the online check-in

The house was as expected and clean. The train is right behind the apartment and was concerned about noise but it ended up being fine. Very close to the station and was convenient. The only issue was trying to get my passport loaded on their online system which took over an hour since it takes you to a code to load on your phone but just goes in circles. I ended up just bypassing it and somehow I think it worked but would never have known it. Sorrento was lovely and would stay again for sure.

Perfect apartment in perfect location!

Everything about this stay was easy (note no elevator but we knew that going in), the apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Very close to markets, bus stop, and hop on/off blue line stop. Easy 20 min walk to Ponte Vecchio, museums etc across the river. Tons of amazing restaurants in this neighborhood to choose from, a foodie and mixology paradise! Nice to be away from tourist areas but still accessible to the rest of the city. We were a family group ranging in age from 4 to 80 and everyone loved the apartment, especially the living room with its own door, making it a 4th bedroom, very convenient. We will absolutely stay here again when we return, highly recommended!

Don't waste your money on this

The check-in process was horrible. I messaged the company numerous times before my arrival, and no one ever responded. When we got there, we had no instructions and ended up sitting out in front of the apartment for an hour trying to reach someone. VRBO Customer Service had to provide us with a direct number to call the owners directly. The sofa bed was broken and kept collapsing my son inside the mattress. There were no sheets for the sofa bed. I messaged the owners, but no one responded. The amenities were sparse - no paper towels at all. We were instructed to empty the leaking air conditioner every day from a moldy container. We were told they could arrange a car to the airport, but they never did so I did it myself through another company. The only good thing about this apartment was the location. Truly disappointing.

Good stay

The property is well located - near city center and train/bus station. That is all. The appartment is older than it looks on the pictures. Rather noisy from street, train and most of all - its own airconditions. Two of them are not working. Asked to fix them, because we were dying of cold, but they appear on the fifth day of our seven-day-stay. The hot water is suplied from a 50 ltr boiler - absolutly not enough for a group of seven. One of the evenings the electicity stopped. We tried to reach the host, but no answer. My husband fixed it anyway . The stay was overall good, because of the good atmosphere of Sorento, but not for the accomodation.

Awesome location!

Great stay. We only spent one night in Sorrento, but highly recommend this place! Great set up very roomy for 6 people and nice location!
