Welcome to Ellingbu, a charming mountain cabin where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature completely undisturbed. The location's perfect—just 2.5 hours from Oslo, yet it's your own little world with no neighbours.



We've recently upgraded the cabin with modern amenities while preserving its authentic cabin atmosphere. The personalised décor creates a warm and inviting ambience, and the unique sunroom with glass walls offers a fantastic view of the yard and the valley.



The property offers plenty of outdoor activities right outside the door. You can gather around the fire pit in the shelter, grill on a gas or charcoal grill, and the kids can have fun playing badminton, darts, disc golf, volleyball, or croquet in the yard. You can borrow canoes and fishing gear at the cabin.

From the cabin, you can explore several beautiful walking trails, such as the popular route to Jettegrytene or the charming trail to Stølstjern. In winter, it’s a short distance to both downhill ski slopes and groomed cross-country trails, and right outside the cabin you’ll find a fun sledding hill for the whole family.
