  • Bring the whole family to this stand alone house on approximately a 1/3 of an acre of privacy. Enjoy the West Coast of Vancouver Island. You will encounter Deer , Sheep , Emus , Ducks and possibly Elk walking through. Minutes to Sooke Centre by car or a 25 minute walk. Many beaches within a half hour drive. Enjoy the Firetable on the Patio with the Olympic Mountains for a view

Our stay was amazing! The place is clean, easy access and lots of space. We really appreciated the fresh eggs, butter and bread. we would 100% stay again!

"We had a wonderful stay at Elk Lodge! The place was absolutely spotless and exactly as described. The host truly thought of everything—from the fully stocked kitchen to the extra toiletries in the bathroom. It made traveling so much easier and felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

We had the best stay at Elk Lodge. Darryl was a fantastic host and super responsive. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Great location also, close to all the amenities but also felt nice and private. We will definitely be back!

Vancouver Island adventure

We stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed the amenities and the location. Lots of interesting wildlife viewable from the home.The home was clean and well laid out. It had everything we needed for eating and relaxing. We would come back for sure!

Great Long Weekend

We had a lovely long weekend stay at Elk Lodge. The host Darryl was gracious and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sooke stay and would recommend Darryl’s place!

We enjoyed being in the tidy, private cottage, separate but not too far from the farmhouse. Our host was very attentive when required. The necessities were available upon our arrival, including fresh eggs. The deer wandering in the yard were a bonus. We'll be back.

Perfect Stay

Beautiful, super clean home, stocked with plenty of anything you might need including breakfast items. Perfect location for exploring and close to the ocean with plenty of nice restaurants all close by. The deer grazing by the front door everyday was an added bonus. Great hosts, thank you for such a wonderful home away from home.

We had a fantastic family stay in this beautiful house in beautiful and peaceful surroundings and felt very comfortable. We gratefully accepted the basic equipment in the fridge. We were also allowed to visit the animals on the farm and our little one was totally thrilled. We will remember this beautiful accommodation for a long time and maybe we can come back one day.

Fantastic 10 Night Stay

From the time we arrived to the time we left it was perfect. The thoughtfulness of having fresh eggs, bread and butter on our arrival was a nice touch. The stay had everything that you could possibly want. Nothing was a problem for our hosts. We would highly recommend a stay at Elk Lodge. Another highlight was watching the deer and elk wandering around.

An excellent place to stay while exploring Sooke!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, well-equipped guest house! The farm animals were fun to watch and we had regular visits from deer & elk. The washing machine & dryer were a treat coming off camping, and the farm fresh eggs in the fridge were a lovely touch. The beds were comfy & our kids loved drawing at the desk overlooking the living room. The main space is a bit tight to navigate, but has everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay.

What a Gem!

This place exceeded all our expectations. It was clean, stylish decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to amenities and attractions nearby while also feeling like we weren’t even in town (love the acreage/cabin feel). We wish we could have stayed longer! Darryl and his wife are fantastic - friendly, responsive and made us feel welcome. We highly recommend Elk Lodge to anyone visiting Sooke! 5 stars isn’t enough, we’d give it 10 if we could! Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Family visit

I have never booked anything like this before. Hosts were very helpful and answered all my questions. Booked 3 guests as we were coming from Ontario. grandkids who live in the area sleeping over was not a problem. House was clean and ready for us earlier then check-in as our plane landed early

Such an amazing place, highly recommend .. 5 Stars

Stayed for 2 nights in April/25, the rental home itself in in New condition and very comfortable, kitchen comes fully equipped. It is situated in an acreage/farm type setting with Chickens, emus and other animals close by. A dozen fresh eggs and bread awaited us upon arrival such a nice gesture. We have stayed many places in the Sooke area over the last 15 Yrs and have to say this is one of our favorites. Owner was great to deal with, great communication. Will definitely go back again soon. Thanks again for a great stay... Gerald & Stephina , Westlock Ab.

Perfect retreat

Property was private, being set back from the main road. Lots of animal activity to observe. The house was well laid out, very well provisioned with lots of little extras which were very much appreciated. and so bright and sunny. Beds were super comfortable. Our host Darryl was very responsive and accommodating. Loved absolutely everything (except the driveway).
