This was the perfect place for our little family! We stayed here with our 3 small children for a family ski trip in January 2017 (our first time to Solitude). We can't wait to come back. Only 45 minutes from SLC airport, the condo itself is very comfortable and cozily furnished, with a very well-stocked kitchen. It is the corner/end unit on the second floor, so there are a lot of windows and great views of the surroundings (including a view of the ground level outdoor hot tub - convenient when you're wondering if it's vacant or not - and easily accessed via the stairwell right outside the door in the hallway ). Comfortable king beds, roomy bathrooms, soft couches, and a warm gas fireplace that heats the central living area based on the thermostat (individual temp controls are also in each bedroom). I loved watching the falling snow cozied up on the couch by the fire. The underground parking was perfect and easily accessed via elevators. There are even a few luggage carts available for use. You also have access to a ski locker on the first floor by the lobby, which was very useful. The Powderhorn ski rental shop and a lift ticket office are right outside main lobby entrance to the left, plus a handful of eateries, and beyond that (a very short walk) are the lifts. The ski-in ski-out access/proximity to the lifts was the main reason we stayed here - my husband and I took turns skiing & watching our one-year-old. It couldn't have worked out better for us! There's also a free shuttle to the other lifts/Solitude main entrance #1, which we used to get our boys over to the ski school in the AM. We had a minor issue one morning with the fireplace not igniting (though pilot light was on), and management came out and took care of it very quickly.
