We'd stay there again. Great value for the room rate—incredible restaurant in the building. The staff was above and beyond, wanting to be of service and proud of where they work.

Nice quiet multiple room lodge with a community kitchen. The only hiccup was that I didn't notice that check in is at their other property five miles away, despite it being noted in the reservation confirmation.

VERY clean and quiet had and open kitchen too share with all the fixing to cook what I had dinner breakfast the bed I felt very comfortable too had own bathroom room to each room just had to wait for the hot water to warm up in the shower but overall I give it a 5 🌟

This is a nice place to stay, conveniently located near the highway. Patrons should know that there is no front desk and the key must be picked up at a separate location prior to entering your room. Not a huge inconvenience, but it was unexpected. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I slept well.

Post reservation processing by Expedia is flawed. Selection of Soldotna Inn as destination resulted in room at Soldotna Lodge, 5 miles remote from Soldotna. Check-in requirement sent to me stated that photo id upload prior to arrival was required, however there was no provision to do that. Calling the facility revealed that there is no check-in desk at the Soldotna Lodge. Visitors must go to Soldotna Inn to check-in. Soldotna Inn does not have staff on duty after 11 PM, however there is a phone on the wall of the entry to the Inn for calling a staff member for after hours check-in. Convoluted, not smooth.

I liked staying at this lodge, but did not like driving the extra 5 miles to check-in at the hotel in town. The lodge would be a great place for a friends or family reunion. There was a large common area and kitchen, but also microwave and fridge in the room. I think I was the only one there when I stayed.

The lodge and provided rooms were as advertised, clean and pretty comfortable. Common kitchen was acceptable but would benefit from provision of more dinnerware and small appliances. The only real drawback was that the wifi in my room sucked, as it was essentially unavailable due to the weakness of the signal.

Room had microwave and refrigerator but no tv. Bathroom was clean. There was an unexpected tax that added to an already extreme price. Checking in at a location 5 miles away was not convenient.

Booked through Expedia and went to go check in about 8:30. Turns out that you need to check in a full 15 minutes south at the Soldotna Inn in town. Called to confirm someone was there and she told us that Expedia had been “sending out the instruction email late” and that multiple guests had arrived only to get the email minutes before that they needed to check in elsewhere. So you’re saying you’re aware it’s a problem and have guest’s contact information but aren’t reaching out intentionally to avoid any issues? I had my phone on me all day. A text or even direct email from a person wouldn’t been effortless and appreciated. This took a big chunk out of our day dealing with this after fishing we wanted to just go back and clean up before getting dinner but ended up using all that time to be confused and then backtrack unnecessarily when that could have easily been avoided. Good price but we were there about 8 hours total.

Dissatisfied

Nice location with easy access. The lady at the Soldotna Inn at checkin wasn’t very friendly. The main area at the lodge stunk and needed a good cleaning. As for our room the floors were dirty not swept. There was a used bandaid on the bathroom floor. It is a rustic Alaskan lodge and we like rustic, we don’t like dirty and stinky!

Mold and filth everywhere. The bathroom was nasty. Stained black on the floor and pink mold in the corners. The bathroom door had black mold on both sides. It’s less than 1 star. We stayed only ONE of our seven nights because of its scuzzy condition.
