Great Place

Loved the condo with a front row balcony to view the ocean! Comfy beds and linens. Clean. 2 bed/2 bath. Fabulous complex with pool and hot tub. Very, very quiet and peaceful and relaxing. Stairs to beach at the end of the complex. Easy check-in and check-out. Great communication via Stubbs the property management company. I booked on VRBO but Stubbs is more direct and they manage the property,There are two parking spots but beware, they are very tight parking spots between pillars. Also it has a condo above it. Hopefully you get lucky with quiet upstairs people, we were not so lucky.

Nice oceanfront condo with excellent view

We were in the area for daughter's wedding and this was a very nice place to have other out of town guests come visit. Very comfortable and clean except for some tiny ants in both bathrooms. Only other complaint is the parking space is very tight with concrete posts on both sides that we actually hit with our rental car, but it was a minivan. Maybe ok for a compact car. Overall, nice place with beautiful ocean view.

can't beat the view and beach access

Overall very happy. Seems like the complex is aging a bit - the 2x6 fascia board of the condo above us broke off and landed in our yard, the guest bath shower handle broke off and could not be repaired, there were a lot of ants. (On the plus side, Stubbs responded right away and fixed the fascia, and tried to fix the shower.) Solana beach tap water is not great - maybe install a water purifier? But it's got great views of white water, and I love the sound of the surf at night. Pool and tennis courts were great. Stubbs had tennis rackets for us to use. Short walk to the beach with a stroller, even shorter walk if you like the 115 stairs. We loved it, and we recommend it, and we'd go back.

First the view of the ocean is fabulous. Loved the walk ability to restaurants and ease of Uber. Bathrooms our original and outdated but the place is still worth the view. Lots of steps to navigate the property.

Great unit that needs a little TLC

The unit is comfortable and clean but needs a little TLC with the older showers, appliances in kitchen and outdoor furniture. There was also an ant problem in all rooms. The master bedroom is spacious and the main room very nice. The unit was clean and the property managers were responsive.

Oceanfront and what a beach!

Property is older but the location makes you forget everything except the views and the sand. Everything within walking distance including great coffee shops and a nice choice of restaurants. The beach that runs almost 4km in front of the property is exceptional. We walked at Torrey Pines for exercise and on “ our beach” for pleasure. Our trip included a lot of hiking and Solana Beach is a great central point for heading inland to hike around Escondido, Poway and the Mission Hills. Location, location, location…….. loved every minute.

Sea'Batical

A beautiful place, Solana Beach! Stubbs Reality were very accommodating. Definitely a vacation destination. If you can rent a small vehicle that is best, parking was super tight. The Sea 'Batical was great for 4 adults. A few suggestions. Replace the blinds that go out to the deck. Very flimsy and they have no sun filtering from 4-6. It was a bit warm there during our stay. The screen to the porch was broken. It would not stay on the track.. The front bedroom had a funky smell. Probably need to replace carpeting it smells of mold. Overall I say 4 stars. Thank you for the extra shopping we requested. I miss it already. Best to all.

Enjoyable stay

We stayed in unit 212 at the Solana Beach & Tennis club. This unit was well appointed with a nice view of the ocean. We appreciated access to the beach equipment - huge plus! The beach access was very close with the 144 stairs down to the lifeguard beach. Excellent body surfing!! The unit shows a bit of wear and tear particularly in the bathrooms and the furniture. The couch was badly stained. The fake plants were falling apart and dusty. Wasn’t a huge fan of the shag rugs in the bedrooms. The kitchen has been updated. The kitchen floor was updated but uneven thresholds exist that I must have tripped over a hundred times, fortunately never fell. The master bed was very comfortable. The unit was warm even with both fans going non stop. The property is very pretty and beautifully landscaped.

Good Bargain w Great view

Very clean, spacious w comfortable beds, incl. sofa bed. Great ocean views especially magical sunsets. Easily prepared family meals in well-stocked kitchen & walking distance to restaurants for take-out. Easy beach access & plenty beach stuff in balcony closet, beach towels by washer/dryer. Felt safe in gated community, quiet and serene. Enjoyed heated pool & spa. Secret storage behind mirrors kept counters clean. Only drawbacks were the parking and the black ants in kitchen, living room & 2d bedroom. Rental has two parking spots but both are too narrow & separated by cement columns so can’t use both at once. Also, speed bumps in front of spots so 90 degree turn is impossible. Requires 3-4 skillful maneuvers back & forth to get in. Spot on left has water pipe leaked salt on car. Found ant spray under sink which helped but couldn’t totally get rid of them; we put all food, even potato chips in fridge. Ants didn’t bite but such a nuisance, especially when packing to leave & discovered they got into the hamper of dirty clothes! Same ants all over the complex, so I don’t blame owner or manager. Was bargain at $198 per night, booked during Covid, stayed March Spring Break. I suggest adding more comfortable balcony furniture and updating rusty shower door frames.

We loved it! Actually, I thought the property was even lovelier than depicted. We arrived at 3 to pick up the key but were told the cleaners were not finished. We had frozen food with us...so they allowed us to put our frozen food away...and that worked well. We did notice an ant situation ( lost our Easter morning turnovers to an army of ants) despite many ant traps. After contacting the office, they delivered fresh ant traps to the front door; after I opened and installed them, they got the job done!

Great location and nice condo

Overall the stay was great! Place was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with beach gear. Close to lots of restaurants, the beach, and easy access to the highway. The community pool/hot tub was a big plus! Only complaint was that I had to call Stubbs twice because they weren't processing my payments on time. Never had that issue other rentals.

Beautiful views

Low key cliff side location with easy access to the beach. Incredible sunsets from the back deck. Updated living room and bedrooms. Kitchen and bathrooms need some updating but overall a nice place for a beach vacation.

Nice positive experience. Nice view.

The property is managed by Stubbs Realty. They do a great job at managing quickly handling any issues. 2 parking spots were very convenient, but tight to get into between narrow poles. Property landscaping is well maintained. Stairs down to beach are vey convenient, but someone steep, especially if carrying a longboard surfboard. Not a lot of people at beach which is nice. Beach is a great walking beach. Not too sandy not too wet. There is a wonderful beach dog park probably 1/2 mile south. Property sits high above on a bluff. Unit 212 had probably a 130 degree ocean view. The inside of the unit was fairly small (1100 sq feet ish) with 2 bed/ 2 bath. Kitchen small. But everything you need is there. I would stay there again.

Amazing location

Condo is very much as represented in the pictures. The views are incredible. The access to the beach is very close down a long set of stairs. Walkable to restaurants , shops, CVS, etc. There is a closet off of the deck with tons of beach stuff - boogie boards, beach chairs, sand toys etc. The price of the rental is very fair. We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful property right on the beach

Great property overlooking the beach. Love going to sleep to the sound of the ocean. Property is nicely updated and perfect for our family of four. Like the fact that there is a decent porch where you are able to sit and look out at the ocean any time. Really nice place.
