Con una temperatura bajo 0 grado no había agua caliente , el transporte había el aeropuerto no estaba ready y el muchacho de la recepción con muy mal carácter llamo un taxi Muy mala experiencia cojo el hotel por la cercanía al aeropuerto y fue lo peor

It is handy as it is very close to the airport but other than that, nothing particularly good can be written about it. Cheap-looking rooms with poor sound insulation and in need of some maintenance or renewal. No issue for one night due to the airport proximity (you can walk in 20min if you don’t want to wait for the hotel shuttle bus) but don’t get your expectations up. Personnel in reception very average. Good service in the bar/restaurant but the food wasn’t great. Breakfast was very simple - not a great choice but sufficient. On the positive side, they will provide you with a takeaway breakfast if you have to leave early

El autobús del hotel no vino a recogernos al aeropuerto. Esperamos más de media hora hasta que decidimos coger un taxi. Luego en el hotel nos dieron una habitación ocupada por otros huéspedes que tuvimos que cambiar. El hotel está en medio de un descampado, hay que coger un taxi para ir a cualquier sitio. No lo recomiendo.
Dear Guest, On the night of your arrival our entire neighbourhood experienced a blackout that triggered major malfunctions in the systems of all companies in the area. Although it was the middle of the night our team -whether on duty or not - immediately responded and started to work the problem, either by interacting directly with our Guests, working in the floors or in the offices contacting our tech support partners. Considering the importance of the problems triggered by the blackout it took us some time before we could resolve the many situations that we faced and we fully apologize for the inconvenience that you had to go through (including our reliable shuttle not being able to pick you up at the airport because of the emergencies we were dealing with). Rest assured that our team did the very best possible under the circumstances and that we all feel really sorry not to have been able to make everything perfect forthwith. Again, accept our apologies. We hope you shall decide to visit us again and we look forward to welcoming you. We thank you for your feedback.

Bad Hotel
Worst hotel ever! The requested shuttle bus did not appear at the airport terminal to pick us up (this happened to a lot of guests). We ended up taking a taxi to the hotel and upon arrival were told we could not check in because the hotels computer system was not working. To cut a long story short, we and another 50 or 60 guests were kept waiting till 3 AM in the lobby (a two and a half hour wait in our case) until they decided to assign rooms. It was nearly 4 AM when we finally got our room. To top it off, the young woman at reception was the rudest person we've ever encountered. This is an inadmissible situation, we (and the other guests) paid for a full nights sleep and only got a couple of hours rest at best. Shame on you Ibis Sofia.

I was disappointed when I went to the lobby bar and found all full of smoke due to due to the people smoking inside. I thought that this was no longer legal in Bulgaria. To try to have a little bit cleaner air the doors were open, I guess that was the reason. So betwen the smoke and the Cold air from the bulgarian 'winter' it was not the most welcoming lobby bar. I would never expect that from a hotel belonging to a international chain lije is Ibis. But the nearest place is the airport so no many options to have a beer after a 4 hours flight at 3 in the morning. Beside that, is a verte convenient hotel within walking distance from the airport.

Dear Guest, As our hotel is 100% smoke-free we are very surprised to read that some Guests managed to smoke inside. Especially as we have set up a convenient outdoor station on the terrace for the smokers. Rest assured that this important issue shall be fully investigated and remedied. Muy buena opción
Excelente opción, queda a minutos del aeropuerto y del metro. El hotel tiene shuttle gratuito. El personal del hotel es muy amable. Lo recomiendo. Por metro y usando el shuttle el hotel se encuetra a 40-50 minutos del centro.

Mejor opcion cerca del aeropuerto
Es un buen hotel en general, las habitacion son mas pequeñas de lo normal, pero el precio es muy razonable. La atencion del personal fue muy buena. Tiene traslado gratuito al aeropuerto, el unico detalle es que la señal de wifi no llegaba hasta mi habitacion.

Everything was good Only the shuttle area at SOF airport is no good signs and all most of the people don’t talk English and we can’t get the shuttle from terminal 2 And the air conditioner at the room wasn’t working- a lot of times the guys help us and fixed and after les than an hour is stop working again🙃 isn’t nice

Das Hotelzimmer war nicht sehr sauber und das Bett überhaupt nicht bequem. Im Badezimmer stank es nach Zigarettenrauch, wahrscheinlich vom vorherigen Bewohner. Selbst bei geschlossener Tür hat man den Zigarettengestank im Zimmer noch wahrnehmen können. Der Check In verlief schnell und unkompliziert, aber das Zimmer war eine Qual und definitiv nicht seinen Preis wert.

My overnight stay was exactly what I hoped for, no fuss and everything I needed. I have stayed in Ibis hotels before, and I can highly recommend them.

Good location very near to the airport and offers 24/7 a shuttle but other than the proximity to the airport if you have an early morning flight, I would not recommend it. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the mattress (not sure I would actually call that spongy inlay a mattress) is actually wider than the bed frame which makes it wobbly and you feel like you’d fall out of the bed. The cheapest, most uncomfortable pillows I have ever slept on. Service was good and the personnel is polite and The rooms were clean We had an outrageous experience with the shuttle driver at 4.30am as he was aggressively speeding at 100km/h and illegally overtaking other cars - an extremely scary and dangerous experience and I would not ever book the hotel again as a result.

Nice people. And excellent location if you need to have some rest between flights. I was allowed to get into the room before official check-in hour , so had more time to sleep after overnight flight. Location is very close to airport, but you can get to Sofia centre in 30-40 minutes, subway is there. Recommended for sure.

Booked this hotel for the proximity to the airport and price. Both were good. 2 or 3 minute drive to T2. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely use again.

Perfect stay for early airport departures
Wanted something close to Sofia airport. This was perfect. Staff was excellent. Free shuttle and takeaway breakfast for us early fliers!
