The house was great in many ways and provided an enjoyable place for our large family to gather. We enjoyed the cooking in the fabulous kitchen and dining around the extra large dining table, hanging out on the deck and in the hot tub, and enjoying the peaceful mountain sunsets. Beds were all comfortable. If I had to name any disappointments, the house was decorated with Christmas & winter decor during our July stay; bedding on top bunk beds were stained; the coffee pot was dirty when we arrived; the tv in rec room, rectangle crockpot/roaster, blender, and gas firepit did not work (or at least we couldn't figure them out.) These were only minor issues, so we would definitely stay here again and recommend this property for others. Thank you!

Wonderful Experience!

Everything was as described or better. It was remote enough to be disconnected yet still had amenities for food and entertainment. There was a slight hiccup with one of the bedsthe host was up front about it and made things right.

Roomy home perfect for families

Great house with tons of space for our group of two families. Nice, open kitchen and a large dining area were great to have. The house also has a huge rec room/mudroom with shelving and hooks for all the ski equipment. Beautiful views and a pretty convenient shuttle service to the slopes. We had a great vacation!

Great Stay in Snowshoe!

Our family had a great stay over New Year's Eve at Foxwood. The home was perfect for our multi-generational group and had plenty of space for us to spread out. The property manager was tremendously helpful in planning our trip and answering any questions we have. The view was incredible with beautiful sunsets! And it snowed while we were there -- a perfect winter getaway!The property is located just "over the hill" from the Village, though it is too far to walk in winter. Our teenagers did utilize the shuttle some, but mostly we had family drop us off for skiing.The house is clean and comfortable. The dining room is one of the best parts! Guests should know that there is only one bathroom downstairs, so it is not the most private, and one downstairs bedroom is not very close to a bathroom. The master bathroom is huge!We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Great home in beautiful resort area

Our family decided to spend Christmas in Snowshoe and we are so glad we did. The home is cozy and spacious and the mountain resort area was pretty great as well. The host was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay with friends in Snowshoe

Came for a weekend ski trip with one other family. Check in was easy and the house was clean. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and bunk bed rooms. The lower room was the perfect place to store all of our gear and get dressed before heading to the slopes. The shuttle service was very convenient and we never waited longer than 10 minutes for them to come pick us up at the bottom of the driveway. It snowed quite a bit while we were there and it was nice having a shovel to clear a path to our cars and the hot tub. They had the drivway plowed for us to leave on time before the next storm came. Firewood was provided but it was wet, and there was no kindling so we could not get a fire started. I would bring some fat wood or kindling with you if you want to have a fire inside. Overall the house was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely come back.

A home away from home!

Diane was welcoming from the start, and we felt right at home at Foxwood, which was impeccably cleaned and seasonally decorated. She stocked the beverage fridge with our favorite drinks and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Logs were conveniently stored outside in a sheltered spot, with fire starters left for us inside by the wood-burning fireplace. The expansive deck had ample seating for enjoying the views and conversation. At night, we warmed our hands by the fire pit while watching the sunset over the mountains. The hot tub was a wonderful addition, accessible through a bathroom stocked with luxury towels in a charming basket for hot tub use. Diane’s hospitality was top-notch; her attention to detail truly made our stay special.

I wish I could give 100 stars!

This was by far the best VRBO experience I’ve had, and I haven’t had any bad ones. The hosts goes over and beyond expectations with communication at the time of booking, prior to booking, and even during our stay. We were sent very detailed instructions for check-in, directions, parking, and contacts for any issue. We had to call twice due to our own problems (kids splashed a little too much water out and we had our vehicle slide a little in the driveway), both calls were promptly answered and they followed back up to make sure we worked it all out. The house is beautiful, clearly well maintained and managed directly by the owner, and has any and all kitchen things you could need. They even provided coffee, snacks, and complimentary drinks to name a few of the personal touches. We have rented properties for the last five years at Snowshoe and this was the best property Ive ever seen and the care Nancy shows to her guests is over and beyond expectations!

Snowshoe Mountain Christmas Getaway

This was a very well maintained property with an excellent host who was attentive to all of our needs. It is a beautiful property with many amenities, spectacular views, and a great place to visit in a beautiful region of the eastern USA.

Family vacation

Our family vacation was amazing! The house was beautiful, the owner was very friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The mountain foliage was breath taking. Foxwood had all the comforts needed from a gourmet kitchen to all the amenities one could want. We hope to come back again!

Beautiful and quiet vacation

The property was amazing and the views were beautiful! We all loved the hot tub. The house was very close to Snowshoe Village. We didn’t have any cell service and the internet wasn’t working for the first day. We were able to get ahold of the property manager with the landline and got the internet going again. My only complaint is that we didn’t know the entire mountain closes down for the month of April. We only found this out after we arrived. We had to change our plans for activities and eating. We had to cook in for every meal because there weren’t any restaurants open. We spent a lot of time just hanging out at the house. Even the roads to the trail heads were closed. Now that I know this, I will plan to return when everything is open because it looked really fun and nice.
