We stayed over the weekend and very much enjoyed the access this location had to the Village and other Snowshoe locations. This spot was nice, warm, and large enough for our needs. We even contacted the owner about an earlier check in as we had folks from out of state driving in and wanted to make sure they were able to unwind and rest after their long drive. The owner was pleasant and informed us we could enter earlier than the 5:00p check-in so long as housekeeping had finished. Though we enjoyed our stay, there were several maintenance items that did not appear to be kept up with. Firstly, the fireplace did not light. We attempted to contact the owner to see if there was information not shown online or in the unit about how to turn it on, but she never responded. Second, the wall heater in the entry way is missing the button to turn it on and off, so it was out of commission the entire stay. There were several lamps in the unit that were missing their light bulbs and the television in one of the bedrooms was missing its remote and wouldn’t turn on. There was also a sauna in unit that was not advertised and did not include instructions that we attempted to use, but it took over an hour to reach a normal sauna temperature (approximately 100 degrees fahrenheit). We contacted the owner about all of these things. Then, when we were leaving, we found that our car had an unauthorized parking ticket stuck to the windshield.
