Quiet family retreat

We were post-cruise and looking for a house so our family of 5 could stretch out a bit for a few days while visiting family in the area. This was perfect! Everyone had a space to retreat to (library, arcade, family room, etc). It had everything we needed and the owners were very quick to reply to questions. Very happy with this property and our stay. It was also very close to hiking (Granite Fall Fish Ladder) that was accessible to kids and adults. Our family in the area was able to come over and have a few meals together which is priceless since we live across the country (Ohio).
Our family of 5 + my brother’s family (local to the area) came together for meals.

Nice place

We rented this house for my daughters wedding at Machias Meadows. My wife and I as well as the bridal party stayed here. There was lots of room for everyone. We did use an air mattress or 2 but nothing was cramped. The first night we lost power for about 5 hours because of a fallen tree and after I sent Joe a message he was able to give us updates on timeframe to get it back on. We also lost air conditioning but I gave Joe a quick call and with in 2 hours it was back on. Overall we had a great experience and Joe was very quick to help us out. We would definitely stay here again.

Family/Wedding Time

We stayed at the property for a wedding that at a nearby venue. The house was very comfortable and the host was very accommodating and quick with communication. Any issues were resolved very quickly (flat air mattress lol) and very friendly! Would highly recommend!

Spectacular Views

We recently stayed at this beautiful property. The grounds were very nice and the adjoining tree house accomodations were not of issue. Everything is separated by foliage and is very private. The views are spectacular!! The owners are extremely attentive and responsive to any needs or questions that arise. There were 6 of us in the home and we never felt on top of each other at all. We would stay again!

Very nice house. Has everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our own meals. The property is clean. Great views from the living and dining rooms. The arcade room was awesome. We did get to enjoy the fireplace too.

This was an amazing home. I like the atmosphere very much. I was in town for just the night checking it out for future stays in the area and I fell in love with this property. Very well maintained, and very comfortable beds. Very easy to unwind and relax here. Can’t wait for a return visit!!

Pretty Location but Rodents

Our experience was okay - the views are breathtaking and the host is super quick to respond. They also don’t have a hefty check out list to have completed upon check out, which is a plus. But we came across quite a bit of spiders in the home, along with rodents in the kitchen and dining area. I can handle spiders and I think some of that is expected when you are out in a rural area. But coming across rodents in the home was definitely not expected. The host said they were having someone come in after our stay to handle the situation, but it definitely took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation and made it difficult to care for sick children on the last day. The only offer to remedy the situation was to try to get a mouse trap to us late that night. We had to toss out a lot of food that wasn’t in the fridge and spent a lot of time shaking out suitcases and blankets. It was also a bummer to have certain hours that you could use the hot tub and would suggest extending hot tub hours. You can’t use it before 8am or after 8pm and those were the only times we would have been able to use it.

Perfect house for family to gather

My sisters and sister in laws were in town for my daughter in law’s bridal shower in Lake Stevens. The privacy and space and views at this house were amazing. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. A perfect night with my family.

Amazing foothills place!

This was an excellent home for my family with great toy options included for the kids. If you want to do activities mainly in the Cascades, this is an awesome location. It also is not a terrible drive to various locations on the Sound including all the way to downtown Seattle. We likely will be back to visit family 4 minutes down the road!

Awesome

It was an awesome place, awesome setting and Joe answered my phone call or text immediately. There were no real issues just small stuff that he explained how to take care of and we could do that ourselves. We were apparently a little loud outside he called me and in the nicest manner possible explained the policy of quite time. If I have any suggestions It would be exten the hours for hot tub use. Thanks for a great stay Joe.

Daughters wedding

I would just like to thank Joe and Cindy for everything they did. After we had left the house, we had missed placed some items. They went above and beyond to help us look for it. The house was perfect especially since it was only less than 10 minutes away from the wedding venue.

The house was as lovely as the pictures show. The property is away from any cities so it was nice and quiet. We got to enjoy the hot tub and had a fun evening. I would definitely rent this house again.

Beautiful, relaxing get away!

This is a beautiful home, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to town or any big city exploring you may want to do. The living spaces are big enough for everyone to be together while at the same time designed so that everyone can spread out and enjoy the quiet. The owners were quick to respond and gracious hosts. All three bedrooms are upstairs and the library downstairs provides a nice little nook to set up the self inflating air bed, if needed. Highly recommend!

Fantastic house and hosts!

Our stay at this property was awesome. The hosts approved a get together in advance for a few family and friends for my husbands 30th Birthday party and Joe was very responsive and helpful in making that happen and I think making us both comfortable with the plan. My niece and nephew loved the fire pit in the front yard and we utilized the BBQ and hot tub. The house with the library is comfortable and everything in tip top shape. Kind of wish we had rented the two tree house VRBO's they have on the property as well! The only thing I would say is you're not very close to a town/restaurants if that's important to you.
