Peaceful, lovely sound views. Backporch is my heaven. Wildlife, birdsong and water. This sweet cottage has everything a family needs to make memories.
Morning coffee and evening wine. This view was all I needed.

Great Location, Crappy Property Management

Great location and clean condition. I loved being in the sound and so close to the beach! You can harvest oysters and mussels in the sound to enjoy for dinner in the winter months. Well equiped kitchen except for oyster shucking knife.Only one roach in 13 days so they seem to have helped resolved the complaint of the previous renter.The tissue boxes were low and curtain rod broke. They gave us a replacement curtain rod, but absolutely refused to bring another tissue box saying they only provide that kind of thing in the first 24 hrs. If that is true they should have told us that and asked if we needed anything. Crappy policy that made me feel nickel and dimed, particularly for someone staying paying 13 days.Clean up policies at the end were reasonable. Overall, decent place and would give 3.5 stars if that were an option. Service/value for the price was lacking.

Relaxing!

The home was cozy and just what we needed. The view was stunning and we enjoyed many sunsets. Only downside was after a long drive we were about 30 minutes early to check in, after calling the property management and waiting on hold they said it would be $100 to get in 15 mins early at that point which is ridiculous, so we were stuck waiting in the heat of the afternoon on the porch.

Loved the ability to walk across the street to There beach and still enjoy the lovely sound. This was everything we had hoped for in a beach vacation rental.

Awesome location!

Great location! 2 minute, easy walk to a very uncrowded, sandy beach. There is sound access from the back yard for kayaking or SUP. The house is accurately described in the listing. Quiet neighborhood. The lower area is very nice including an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Sit on the back deck in the evening and watch the Sunset over the bay. The front deck was nice to relax on in the later afternoon when you could get some shade. The house itself is small, but met our needs. Not super modern, but we spent our time at the beach, not hanging out in the house. House was clean and bedrooms were functional. Bathroom was nice and clean as well. The kitchen is functional with plenty of dishware and utensils. It is small and there is a table in the kitchen that makes the kitchen even smaller. The property management company is really good. Excellent communication and the check-in, check-out process was a breeze. Needed a propane refill and they took care of it extremely fast. There are only 2 things that would make this rental even nicer. 1) an outdoor table and chairs for the deck to eat meals at. 2) a small dock or platform at the end of the path to the bay to help launch kayaks from. It's a bit of a challenge, but is doable. This is a great rental and we would rent again! Family of 4.

Beautiful place.

Beautiful views. Beds were a little harder than we like. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Older place that could use some work and updates, but it was functional. Not much room to fish, but caught a couple red fish. Quiet neighborhood. Overall we had a nice visit.

Wonderful vacation at Sunset Bay!

We would have given a five-star rating on everything except the dishwasher was partially empty and we had to wash the dishes and silverware due to previous guest putting away dirty? The rest of the cottage was immaculate. We enjoyed the sunsets on the back deck overlooking the sound! And it is just a short walk to the beach.

Quaint, Quiet Stay close to everything

This is a great little cottage close to the beach with a stunning view of the ICW. Our family enjoyed the serenity and the accommodations which was perfect. We will stay here again!

What a view!

Sunsets were spectacular every night. Quiet neighborhood. Kayak launch in the backyard. Easy 4 minute walk to a lovely beach. Owners kindly supplied beach wagon, chairs etc. A perfect place for an easygoing getaway. Just wish they had a cutting board!

This property was exactly like it was advertised! Perfect.

The property was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The location was very close to the beach and the owner loaned us their beach wagon which was just right for loading up our beach chairs, umbrella and toys for the children. The yard was great for them to play in. It was one of our favorite vacations! Thank you.

Great Time

Short walk to the beach, not too far from other activities,but it is also pretty private. Since it is all the way at the end of the street, you only have one real neighbor. Great place to stay though.
