Using both sides of the property worked well for my party of 18. Being right on the beach during the day and also at night was good.. The kids enjoyed looking for Ghost crabs at night and the Rooftop Deck was enjoyed by the adults at night. The facilities worked well especially the air conditioning . The owners were quick to respond to and questions or issues.

Maintenance time for up on the roof!

Over all a fabulous place to stay but clearly needs a little more attention to maintenance. Inside and out could stand a fresh coat of paint and carpets refreshed, bed linens replaced and balcony furniture updated. Ocean view and beach access can’t be beat! Responsive communication with owner was a plus!

A Nice Vacation

We had a great week at beautiful N. Topsail beach, although we were slightly disappointed in the condition of “Up on the Roof”. The rugs in the house were sandy and soiled. We tried to vacuum, but found that the vacuum beater bar was obstructed by hair and other trash. We killed several spiders and chased flies many days. One of the biggest disappointments was the condition of the porches. It seemed like they had not been swept at all before our arrival, as sand was all over the floors and outdoor rugs. The construction debris beneath the outside stairways and porches was unsightly. We had a couple of problems with the drains in 2 of the bathrooms, but after a call went in to Amy, there was a quick response and both problems were resolved. We appreciated that. On a positive note, we had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen and the furniture was comfortable. All in all our family vacation was enjoyable. The ocean this year was the most beautiful that I’ve seen in many years and the access from the house to the beach was wonderfully convenient! Thank you, Amy.

Overall great trip. We used both sides for our 18 family members. Bunk rooms were smaller than expected but we made it work. Great beach area and easy to run up to the house for lunch and then bathroom

Amazing Find

There was 12 of us in our group, finding something that would accommodate all of us was great. We did have a couple of small children gates for stairs would have been great. We did bring some but they were not wide enough to block. But we made due with what we had. Great place to stay.

Great spot at the best stretch of beach in Topsail

I've been coming to Topsail my entire life and stayed in a ton of rentals. This is one of the best setups I've experienced. Great mirrored duplex that has tons of room for a large group. Especially great for kids with two bunk-bed rooms. Very updated and clean; showers were amazing. Right off the deck onto the beach and plenty of room inside and out to relax and eat meals together. Great stay!

Excellent vacation!

This property worked great for our large-ish family group, with enough room for everyone to spread out, and gathering areas large enough to accommodate us all. The house was clean and well equipped ... we didn't need anything all week that wasn't already in the kitchen, including the night we grilled out. Everyone had an amazing time, and we're already planning our return next year!

Military Family Vacation

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Rained and had leaks in bedroom and kitchen. Had to move 5 people to a local hotel. Owners offered a portrait or discount on future stays. Unacceptable response. Spent first 48 hours focused on repairs. Owners need to invest in making sure property is ready for use.

Very nice family beach rental

Our family and friends enjoyed spending a week at Topsail at this lovely house. The living space is fantastic, and the decks and rooftop are great. The location is very family-friendly and the beach is immaculate. Highly recommend this property!

Family Vacation

This house fit our needs perfectly. We were a party of 13. Loved being ocean front, the porch furniture was very nice, kitchens were well appointed, beds were comfortable. Thanks for a great week. It rained a lot during our week but we were able to hang out on the porch and still enjoy the view!

Fantastic Home & Stay!

We booked this home last minute as our original reservation elsewhere fell through with a 2 week notice due to Hurricane damage, still. We could not have been happier with both Amy and this home! The booking and everything with her was fantastic/seamless! The home is nicely decorated and furnished. We were a larger family and did not even think of looking at a duplex, we loved it! Great location and the beach was awesome! Thank you!

Wonderful time for family

We had a great time. The beach was perfect and we loved all the different decks. We could be together or have a little privacy. The view of the stars on a clear night from the rooftop deck was wonderful. We had the entire house for the 16 of us. It was just right. The alcoves were as advertised small but adequate for our needs. The kitchens were pretty well stocked. Amy and Carol were available and responsive My suggestion would be more towels for the week. We had to wash midweek.

Awesome spot for family reunion

Up on the Roof was the perfect place for our family reunion 2 weeks ago. We rented both sides, and the layout is great for big meals and gatherings, but also has many nooks and crannies to get away from the crowd. The covered porches provided wonderful spaces to enjoy board games during a rain shower and the open benches halfway down the walkway were the perfect place for a cup of coffee overlooking the beach. Amy was great to work with - she kept us well- informed about the post-hurricane repairs, and also responded immediately when the AC in one of the units wasn't working well. Kitchens were well-stocked and we prepared most meals there and ate in. Everything was exactly as described and we would absolutely rent it again!

Great family vacation

We visited Amy's home in early June and it was fantastic. Amy was responsive and helpful before, during and after the trip. One thing missing was a pack-and-play so if you're traveling with young children, definitely consider this. Overall a very fun time.

Great house, great location, responsive owner!

Recently renovated, very clean. Big open kitchen dining room/living room on main floor perfect for hanging out with family for our reunion. Beach is great and not too crowded even on Memorial day weekend. We made good use of the house's boggie boards.

Lots of room for large family

We had 18 family members stay in these two wonderful houses that are connected between their well-stocked kitchens and by the front lower deck. Two of our couples are newly-weds and each had their own nook bedroom downstairs with a private entrance. Four of the family members are young children, who had plenty of room to spread out and play. Beach access was great and the upper decks provided a quiet space for the adults. An ample supply of beach chairs were provided, so no need to bring your own! There are also large dining tables as well as seating at the kitchen island, so plenty of room for sit down meals. We had nine more family members staying in places nearby and we called this place the “big house” and gathered there each day for meals and playing on the beach. We really enjoyed the N.Topsail location as it was far enough away from the Surf City crowds, but close enough to grocery stores. We really appreciated how accessible the owner was during our stay. Everyone enjoyed these two houses which made for an ideal family vacation!
