Comfortable Cottage With Spectacular Sea And Mountain Views

  • Knoydart Cottage, on the beautiful and mystical Isle of Skye, is at the heart of some of Europe’s most spectacular scenery. The cottage was designed to take full advantage of the breath taking views across the Sound of Sleat to the mountains of Glenelg and the Knoydart Peninsula.

    Its position makes the cottage the perfect base for a holiday on Skye, whether you are looking for an action-filled week or a relaxing break, with stunning views + beaches only a 5 min walk away. We look forward to welcoming you. Please note our change over day is Saturday .

    The two-bedroom cottage has recently been completely renovated and refurbished to provide an extremely comfortable and superbly equipped holiday home, that sleeps 4.

    At the end of a day exploring, if you simply want to enjoy the local fare (and not have to cook!) then Knoydart Cottage is ideally placed to sample the varied choice of gourmet restaurants, from simple snacks to fine dining.

    Whatever the generation, whatever the season, the Isle of Skye has something to offer everyone

Amazing stay at the Cottage. Great location, comfortable and incredible views. We enjoyed being within 30 minutes of all our activities. Grocery store and shops are close. I would suggest a car for those staying. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.

Unforgettable

The house is very peaceful with the outstanding view, we didn’t want to leave. I hope I can come back another time. We felt very cozy , equipment was fine. Big bed very good .

We loved our time at the Cottage, it’s spacious, spotless and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Oh and did I mention the view - spectacular! Christine was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful

Spring on Skye

This is the second time we have stayed in the cottage. It’s a great location, close to amenities yet quiet and with fabulous ever changing views. The cottage itself is kept to a high standard, is well appointed and absolutely perfect for a couple. We had a great week once again!

Schönes Haus in traumhafter Lage.

Sehr schönes Holzhaus mit großem, hellen Wohn- und Essbereich. Von hier aus gibt es eine traumhafte Sicht über die See und die gegenüberliegenden Highlands. Insgesamt ideale Voraussetzungen für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Alles war bestens!

Cottage by the sea

We really loved this little cottage by the sea. The view from the front room and patio was spectacular. The beach was a short walk loved collecting shells and rocks. This is a nice quiet side of the island. It was a very good home base and so comfortable. Really really loved it.

Traumhaftes Cottages auf Isle of Skye

A wonderful, beautifully designed cottage with a fantastic view of the sea. We felt completely at home. The cottage was perfectly equipped and everything was very well looked after! This is how you can enjoy your vacation. Very nice contact with Audrey, the lady from housekeeping. Highly recommended

Beautiful, spacious, and comfortable cottage. Everything was spotless. The view is magnificent. It was a joy to make dinner and breakfast and enjoy it with that view. The host was very friendly and always responded to messages promptly. Would definitely return to this place when visiting Skye again. We could easily do day trips from there and do all we wanted to do in the island in 3 days. Would love to come back and stay longer to do more hikes around, and enjoy the magnificent sunrises and sunsets from this cabin. Thank you for having us.

Lovely cottage and beautiful location

We had an amazing stay in this lovely cottage. The location is perfect for the quieter side of Skye. My son absolutely loved the garden, which is massive! If I had to moan about one thing it was the fact that there wasn’t a hand whisk however there was a blender, scales, flasks and whatever else you could possibly need! We had a great time! Thank you

What a view!

We had a lovely stay at Knoydart Cottage, the cottage itself is very homely and the view is spectacular. The kids had a ball exploring the garden, although we encountered a few ticks, so do keep an eye out. The convenience of the Duisdale Hotel literally being next door was great for the nights we couldn't be bothered cooking dinner. A beautiful part of Skye, Armadale Castle down the road is also a must see, fabulous play area for the kids. Highly recommend 👌

Great base to see the island

Knoydart Cottage is a great property with amazing views and is perfectly placed to get out and about to see the whole island. Easy access from both the bridge and the ferry. The cottage was just as described. It is close enough to amenities for the times you need them, but also far enough away to have a holiday away from it all. The welcome note and goodies were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can highly recommend. Thank you Christine!

Toller Ausblick

Alles vorhanden, was wir im Urlaub benötigten. Traumhafter Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer auf das Meer, Ruhig. Vermieterin haben wir nur kurz gesehen. Die Reinigungskraft hat uns aber geholfen das verstopfte Waschbecken im Bad wieder einigermaßen durchgängig zu machen. Die Matratzen in dem Raum mit 2 schmalen Betten waren eher für Kinder geeignet. Wale oder Delphine haben wir in dieser Bucht nicht gesehen!

We‘ve stayed at Knoydart Cottage for four nights and it was fantastic. The ground floor building is well thought out in every detail, offers a great view and is fenced yard all around. We‘d love to come back.
