ALMOST HEAVEN

WE HAVE BEEN FOR A WEEK THIS SUMMER . THE OWNERS ARE JUST LIKE YOUR FAR FAMILY IN GREECE. YANNIS AND LISA, HELPED US TO ENJOY THE ISLAND IN A BETTER WAY. THE HOUSE WAS PERFECT, WITH INCREDIBLE VIEWS OF THE PORT. A PLEASURE IN ALL SENSES.

This is an excellent property, well cared for, great location for Skopelos town, beach, tavernas, shops, ferry and buses. It has beautiful views from the 3 balconies and a decent sized swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers. The air conditioning worked well. It was in good decorative order and well maintained with a regular clean and refresh of towels and bedding and a good supply of basic self-catering amenities such as soap and toilet rolls. Pool towels were provided. The kitchen was well equipped and even has a sandwich toaster! Yannis and Lina were generous and excellent hosts - they left food and wine in the fridge on arrival and arranged taxis for us on arrival and departure. Communication was excellent and nothing too much trouble. You need to be quite fit to walk up the hill from town if you are not renting a car, but the villa and views are worth it. There's plenty of parking and the villa is very secure. It's also very peaceful and located in a lovely garden full of orange, lemon and pomegranate trees. I would recommend this villa without hesitation and we hope to return again next year.

Lovely villa exactly as listed. Views of the harbour are beautiful from the balcony. Yannis and Linna could not have been more helpful from meting us from the ferry to organising our departure ferry and taxi to ensure we didn't miss our flight. If you are booking contact Yannis about ferries before you book as there are many more than you can find on line. The walk home from the town in the evening is a little steep but it is short - took less than ten minutes with the family. Definitely only get a small car as the road is very narrow. The pool is fantastic and well maintained and there is lots to do on the island. Would highly recommend the villa and paddle boarding at panormos, axia boat hire, Skopelos cycles night cycle tour and you have to go to the mamma Mia church. there are loads of lovely restraunts in Skopelos.

Nine days of tranquility and peace.

A very well renovated mid 1950’s prime location property. Crystal clear mountain water in the pool. Extensive multi-fruit orchards and wide variety of well watered flowers. Owner, Ioannis, is a perfectionist who appreciates considerate tenants, and looks after them according.

Very pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Orange. The house is well located in a quiet area near Skopelos and worked well for our 5 adults/2 young kids family. The owners were very kind and responsive. A couple of issues came up but they were well taken care of. We spent most of our time around the dining area near the pool. Unfortunately, the layout of the villa itself is a bit akward and the upper terrasses are not really practical because access is through the bedrooms. The independent “studio” was also disappointing (it is a reconverted utility room). Nevertheless, we did enjoy our stay and wish you a wonderful holiday at Villa Orange !

Great house

Very nice house with lovely pool area, and terraces. Practical and well equipped house. We were met with a pleasant and nice welcome from Yannis, who was fast to solve things that came up. He even bought a wonderful birthday cake to our son! The villa has a good location with a wonderful view. We already knew, the road from Skopelos town is steep. But also charming. Before arriving you will get a 12 page document with instructions and many houserules. Some written in red bold letters. Many totally ok but some might influence your stay, like pool hours, cleaning hours when you have to leave the area totally and others. Unfortunately we experienced that the dialogue with the owners turned hostile and aggressive. It turned into threats about the deposit. This had an impact on our vaccination. This review might lead to more aggressive comments from the owners. We will not respond to these.

Summer holiday

We loved our stay at Villa Orange. The villa was spotless, the space was great with lots of different areas to relax and eat. The views on the upper seating area were brilliant for watching the sunset. The location was perfect, a 10 minute walk to town, although the hill is steep on the way back up! Yannis and Lina were excellent hosts, easy to contact and so very helpful!! Thank you both we had such a lovely, relaxing holiday.

Great place

We spent two great weeks in Villa Orange. The view from the balcony towards the sea and town is spectacular. The house is located in a very quiet area in the hillside, with beautiful green surroundings. The house itself is also good, with a very nice pool area, and the hosts are always available and helpful.

Orange Villa Review

The villa itself was excellent overall. The pool area was great and the balconies fantastic for evening meals etc. The rooms were perhaps small especially the bathroom but no complaints If you have anything other than an extremely small car you will have problems getting up the road leading to the villa as it very very narrow with some local taxis refusing to go to there The owners however were pretty belligerent and obnoxious via messaging and texts suggesting that were extremely dirty and disrespectful to them by not keeping the property in tip top condition. Granted we had a 2 year old with us but I consider thier comments unfair. Needless to say our deposit will not be returned to us. C’est La vie Overall Scopolos was great and we were happy with our villa and had a great week. The owners not so much so beware!

Traumhaftes Domizil

Traumhaftes Domizil, alles einfach super! Nur ein kleines Manko, online hieß es für acht Personen, wir haben für sieben gebucht, waren dann nur zu sechs, damit hatten wir die perfekte Größe, aber eine Person mehr hätte bedeutet in einem Durchgangszimmer, nicht so toll und dann die Toilette mit dem Hauptschlafzimmer teilen, hier im ersten Stock gibt es gar kein Bad, also dann alle (5 Personen) im Haus ins Erdgeschoss, in ein nicht wirklich großes Bad, das sah irgendwie im Internet anders aus! Ansonsten war das ein richtiger toller Urlaub in einem wirklich traumhaften Domizil ! Danke an Yannis!

Belle propriété agréable , au calme, en pleine nature sur les hauteurs de Skopélos et proche du centre(10 minutes à pieds et deux minutes en voiture). Dans cette villa vous y serez comme chez vous avec une vue imprenable sur le port. Yannis et Lina sont des propriétaire aux petits soins envers leurs hottes et sont de très bons conseils avant et pendant le séjour. Nous avons été enchantés de ce lieu de villégiature. A vacation to remember

Our Villa Orange 2019 Experience

My Wife and I spent a wonderful two weeks at the Villa Orange this last June, we were met on arrival at the port of Skopelos by the owner of the of the Villa Orange, Yannis, of whom I shall fondly remember as the friendly gentle giant. After collecting the hire car we joined Yannis at the Villa, the Villa Orange it’s self is exactly as described, spacious and clean with nothing you could put fault to, it is very private and secure with the benefits of a electronic security gate. It has Beautiful views over looking the town of Skopelos of which is just 10 to 15 minutes walk or just 5 minutes by car, the route to to Villa is a concrete road. No dirt tracks to the Villa Orange here, just a word of caution, the road can get a little narrow in places, but nothing that can’t be overcome. As I had said in the above Yannis is very friendly, assuring you that any problems that may occur at the Villa, he will be on hand for you 24/7, we did have a minor problem while on our stay, and true to his word he was at the villa within 15 minutes to rectify it, we unfortunately did not meet his wife Lina’s, as she was not on the Island, but she did phone to say Hello to us, which we thought was nice of her. Another little touch, there was two bottles of wine, two bottle of water, tomatoes and cucumbe, two jars of marmalade and 1 litre of Olive Oil as a welcome pack both the marmalade and Olive Oil, are of Yannis own product, Wonderful! A big Thank you Yannis and Lina’s it was pleasure to have met you and stayed at you wonderful Villa Orange. Mike and Christine Slade. South Wales, UK

Wonderful property and location

Yannis and Lina offer a wonderful property in a fantastic location. The villa was incredibly clean, and the personal service they provided, from meeting us from our water ferry to regularly checking that we had everything we needed, was superb. The kitchen was well equipped and the homemade marmalade a real treat (and the olive oil, honey and wine!). The grounds were very well kept and the pool welcoming. The poolside sun beds were very comfortable and there was seating on all the balconies to make the most of every aspect. The first floor BBQ was great for cooking local fish with the sun setting in the background. The villa is located within walking distance of all the local restaurants which offered excellent, good value food. We hired a car to visit some beautiful beaches, but local bus routes and boat trips mean you could easily cope without one. Fantastic walks from the property in the hills behind the villa up to the scenic monastery region. Highly recommend the island of Skopelos - friendly people, clean, safe and amazing scenery. Thank you to Yannis and Lina for making this such a memorable holiday.
