You can’t beat the location of this space! The backyard area is beautiful and sitting around the fire pit with friends was great. The beds were not very comfortable though. Overall a great stay!

Close to great Sister Bay attractions, but a few blocks off the main street offering peace and quiet too. The home is very well equipped and clean. It was just right for three generations of our family. We would love to return one day.

Fantastic stay! This property was so beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. And communication with the owner was always lightning-fast and helpful. The location of this property absolutely cannot be beat - easy walking distance to town but somehow extremely peaceful. A wonderful oasis!

Wonderful stay, great location

We have a wonderful girls getaway here! Lovely house, plenty of room to spread out. They offer lots of options to entertain you while there: patio, bikes, kayak, ect. So close to downtown Sister Bay and the beach. Great place to stay!

Perfect accommodation for our family

I guess our straight 5-star ratings in every category above pretty much sum it up. This house is spacious, spotless, and comfortable. And lovely! Sarah is a perfect host, answering each communication quickly, and generally being an extremely helpful and accommodating person to work with. We love staying here, and as tempting as it would be to gatekeep "our secret" (ha), we must share the love!

Perfect Location - Cute Cottage

We had a wonderful week in Sister Bay, and very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was very walkable to everything we needed or wanted to do. The kitchen was well-equipped, so we did not need to purchase or bring many things for our stay. We did not give it 5 stars, as there were things that, for the price, we would have expected. The floors were dirty (had to wash feet every night before bed), there were household chemicals and cleaning supplies in places where little kids could easily access, we had to supply our own wood for bonfires, etc. These are mostly little things that were relatively easy to take care of. However, I just would not expect to have to do that for this price. All that said, we did enjoy our stay, and you really cannot beat this location for accessibility to downtown Sister Bay.

Exquisite Experience

Quite honestly, we could not have found a better place to "call home" in Door County nor could we have asked for better hosts. Sarah and Adam's Modern Dorr in Sister Bay was the perfect place to stay, and all we can say is that Sarah and Adam were the type of hosts everyone hopes for -- the communication was great, the welcome tray was much appreciated, the house was well stocked with everything needed, and the spacious accommodations were both clean and comfortable. It was a pleasure waking up there each morning, and when we returned each afternoon/evening from a fun day exploring DC and taking advantage of many of its pleasures, it was wonderful to come back to Modern Dorr. We took full advantage of the property's many amenities -- grilling, the fire pit, relaxing outside as well as inside, using the kitchen to whip up some family favorites. Oh, and before I forget -- the Welcome Book you laid out on the desk provided some great suggestions for all of Door County's hamlets. That was much appreciated. Thank you. :-) Even though we were but a few short blocks from Sister Bay's bustling main street, we were secluded in peace and quiet, which was doubly appreciated after long -- yet fun! -- days exploring Wisconsin's Summer Playground. Thank you, Sarah & Adam. We had a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed staying at this tastefully updated home. The beds were comfortable & it had so many nice touches like a fire pit, bikes and lots of games! It was situated in a perfect location within walking distance to downtown Sister Bay!

Great Family Getaway

From start to finish, Sarah made the process easy and stress free Modern Dorr was as advertised, neat, clean and talk about location! Great central location with a short drive to most activities and walking distance to downtown Sister Bay, the beach as well as coffee and restaurants. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Modern and Convenient Door

The property looked exactly like the pictures. The house was about 2 blocks or a 5 min walk to the Main Street in Sister Bay which made it convenient when at the beach or if you needed to go back and get something. We have rented many houses and this one has been the best so far. The beds were comfortable, the house is clean, lots of toiletries provided, the kitchen had everything you would need, bikes, kayak and paddle board. We never thought we were missing anything. The hosts checked in with us and were available for questions. If you are looking for a place to stay while in Door County this it!

Location was perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Modern Dorr! The location was perfect -- we loved that we could enjoy all that Sister Bay has to offer (beach/waterfront, restaurants, live music, etc.), and after a quick few minute walk we were back to a super private and peaceful "home". The amenities and accommodations didn't lack a thing...absolutely everything we needed (or could think of!) was supplied. Sarah provided recommendations for things to do and places to eat which we also found very helpful. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Fall Stay in Sister Bay

Modern Dorr was a great location & provided roomy accommodations for our family of 4 during a recent fall stay in Sister Bay. Very clean, had everything we needed, lots of fun board games provided and a friendly and responsive host. Would highly recommend!

Great location, but areas for improvement

The location was fantastic. Place was pelnty big enough for our family of 5, but the place needs a deep cleaning. Furnishing looked either like the cheapest ikea/target options or hand me downs. I myself have plenty from target but coffee table isn’t functional wirh the slabs, couch had huge stains, navy chairs were so low to the ground we’d never use them. Pantry was grungy. My feet were dirty after walking around on floors after an hour in the first day. Like the place had been dusted/swifted but not CLEANED. For the price we paid, I was expecting better.
