Housekeeping could improve, as the room wasn’t cleaned after the third night and common areas need more attention. Overall very relaxed vibe—I’d happily stay again! "

"I stayed at Alison Lodge Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was mixed. On my first night, I was placed in a room where I couldn’t sleep until 3:30 a.m. due to constant door banging from other guests. "We stayed twice. The first time we really like the room, the second one you could see it was small but the service was still great. Housekeepers were really nice and helpful. The hotel is well located and close to shops and tram."

"The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. "

"Great location and the room was clean but that’s about as far as the positives go. The room was very outdated with a tiny bathroom and the tap kept falling off while trying to adjust the shower temperature. Felt more like a backpackers than a hotel. The key for the front door is easily accessible to the general public if you know where to look and the rooms didn’t lock from the inside. We thought the hotel looked quirky from the photos but it needs some serious TLC."

"Room was very small,not the impression that was given on the internet. Shower room was very small. Loose tap on sink. Bedroom was very small It did have an iron and "table " ironing board but I had to use the floor. Did have a hairdryer. Advert said it had breakfast but no, only had a small communal kitchen. Staff were very helpful Very well located for tram,bus and high street. Very close to Cooggee beach Easy transport to Sydney."
