We are two families with grade school kids who rented the home for a New Year’s Eve stay. Upon booking, Tru reached out to introduce herself and offer suggestions in preparation for our stay. She was so helpful and responsive in the advance preparation for our stay, I already felt welcomed even before we arrived.
Upon our arrival, our breaths were taken away by the home. True in every sense of farmhouse chic, it’s like stepping into the pages of Magnolia magazine and it was completely immaculate. It’s spacious and inviting and some of our original plans had been put aside so we could take the time to just relax by the fireplace and hang out.
The house sits on a horse sanctuary run by Tru and we made sure to book a package with her for our children to groom and feed the horses, in addition to riding them. As Tru led the tour, introduced us to a number of the horses and answered our questions, we were delighted by the experience and the fact that this was something truly special our kids could be exposed to. This is definitely something to plan for as part of your stay, and is available to adults as well.
The home is within driving distance of a number of must-sees. For us, that included the Christmas Village and the Lancaster country-side. Throughout, Tru was always available for more questions and coming to our rescue when we locked ourselves out of the house (sorry, Tru!)
This was an unforgettable trip and even better than we had anticipated. There’s truly no better way to unplug and relax, while waking up to see horses grazing just across the drive. Highly recommend, we’ll be back!
