What initially attracted us to this cottage was the deck that overlooks the creek. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how charming and comfortable the cottage turned out to be. There were so many thoughtful touches that enhanced our experience. As for cleanliness, it was immaculate! The hardwood floors sparkled, the shower was spotless, and the kitchen was equipped with every cooking gadget you might need, including a variety of spices. We spent a lot of time relaxing outside, and when it rained, we retreated to the sunroom. We opened the doors and still enjoy the ambiance, just like sitting on the deck, but sheltered from the weather. The neighborhood is a delightful mix of homes that have largely been restored to their original quirkiness, or a new take on the old. It covers just three blocks, making it perfect for evening strolls. We also went through the park with its tree-lined trails, crossed the creek bridge, and enjoyed a circular route through town. The historic downtown area is only a block away, so restaurants are practically at your doorstep. The food options are diverse, ranging from creekside dining at the Tea Leaf—where their breakfast is to die for—to the Noble Fox, which has the cozy ambiance of an English pub. Their roasted Brussels sprouts are absolutely incredible! Even the food truck court! Situated next to the creek, comfy rocking chairs, well-manicured grass, a fire pit, and great food!Would we go back? We’ve already booked our next two stays!
