Good location, average accommodation.

The location of the suite is excellent. The provided directions on how to get around in the resort were a little vague but everything made more sense in the daytime. We feel the mattress, pillows, and linens in the master bedroom could use an update since they weren't very comfortable. The beds in the second bedroom were better. One thing we found strange is that on the last day of our stay, a gratuity envelope from the cleaning crew appeared on the kitchen counter. It wasn't there before so I guess the crew came in and left it while we were on the mountain. We've never seen this in any other places we've rented through VRBO, or other sites, and we felt the cleaning fee we were being charged was more than enough to cover this. We used to do short-term rentals ourselves and we never, ever asked the guests to provide a gratuity to the cleaning crew.

Great spot for ski in/out

Great place to stay, actually more spacious than it looks in the pictures. Everything was comfortable and in good working order. Great spot for the price. Only thing I would say is that if you have more than one vehicle, you'll have to park your extras about 15 minutes down the road, so be sure to contact the property manager beforehand if you'd like to drop vehicles off on your way up.

Great Views, great value

The property was as advertised, the mountain views was beautiful. The beds we comfortable and there was lots of bedding and extra pillows. The kitchen was well stocked and we were glad to have a BBQ available for the nights we stayed in to cook.

Great location

We loved our stay and found the location close to everything. The ski hill does a great job of grooming all of the trails and everything is signed so you always know where you are. We will be back for sure and it was great we could bring our pets along to enjoy it with us.

Suited our needs, pretty basic accommodations, overall 8/10

KITCHEN: 7/10 Very small. Can’t open DW and oven at same time. No space for the garbage and recycling containers, which are just on the floor. No cupboards with space for your food- it all has to stay on the counters. Everything seemed to work and eventually we found everything we needed or improvised. Was surprised at the lack of a ladle (surely we can’t be the only people who like soup in cold weather?) MAIN BEDROOM 7.5/10 Sparse but functional. Mattress was fine. Linens were unremarkable in either direction. BATHROOM 7.5/10 The green paint is not pleasing to my eyes, but the the bathroom is functional and equipped. Extra towels and soap/shampoo etc are under the sink. Tiling around the tub is starting to show its age. Faucet needed to be turned off *just so* or would still run a trickle. LIVING/DINING 8/10 TV worked fine, there are sofa and button chairs for varied seating. Room around the table or at the kitchen bar for eating. Ample space to accommodate our giant dog crate. BUNK ROOM no score Received no complaints from the kids regarding their room, and I spent no time there myself, so I have no opinion. STORAGE 6.5/10 More hooks in the entry would be nice (2 have broken off, rendering some of the entry bench/hooks area less functional). Genuine hooks rather than those annoying pegs that stuff just slips off of all the time would be a good choice.... The hot water tank/supplies/spare towels closet is kind of a free-for-all...all of the equipment kept wanting to fall over. Some kind of wall-mounted ski holder would be nice. I mean, it is a condo on a ski hill... LOCATION 9/10 Nice proximity to the tubing - a little uphill walk to get there, but a reasonably easy one. Liked the ski-in from Christmas Bowl and across the ski bridge. For ski-out the kids did not enjoy the walk up quite so much, but it’s only a couple of minutes. A bit far from the Village but we didn’t need to go there. HOT TUB 9/10 The hot tub was a great temperature- nice and hot- and clean. Very nice sitting in it and looking up at the trees. OTHER 8/10 We were very happy to find a dog-friendly place to stay. This is a distinct plus for us. On the negative side, this building is slightly noisy. Conversation from other units can be heard in the bathroom, coming in from the vents. You can hear the water running when your neighbour showers, the toilet flush (and other things) when they use the facilities. If these things bother you, this probably isn’t the place for you.

Well equipped and close enough to everything!

This was a well equipped condo. Had all the necessities for our stay! Easy access to skiing and to Nordic as well as skating. The walk to the village was not far! Being able to drive up to the door was great (especially with all our baby gear!). The only challenge was storing 4 sets of adult downhill skis in the locker, but that’s a minor detail. We would definitely stay again! 😊

Excellent family vacation

Our family of four and dog are repeat vacationers. The unit is always clean and well-stocked with essentials. This property has a great view of tube town and the Silver Queen chair, is perfect for ski in/out, has easy access to the village (10 min walk), and skating and tube town are within steps. We will be back to enjoy the magic of Silver Star!

Great location, easy access, awesome mountain!

Easy access to the hill and to tube town and the skating rink. Nice condo with all the needed cooking gear and just the right amount of space. Our only small complaint would be the maintenance crew who started shovelling the sidewalks at 630 AM each morning. It was really loud and early! Thanks.

Quiet in the summer.

Beautiful get-away in nature and a break from the heat when you're up on the mountain. Kids loved the summer tubing. However, we were disappointed the hot tub was not even operational. It is advertised online and we were given a number to get into the hot tub area beforehand, so we were obviously let down when finding it half empty and not working. Also, I found about 3 long hairs on the towel in the bathroom. Yuck.

Can't wait to go back!

I would highly recommend Peter and Diana's condo to friends and family. Peter and Diana respond quick to inquires about there condo. We had a few questions once there so we sent them a message and received a quick reply. When we arrived the condo was clean and ready for us to enjoy our weekend at the Star. The ground entrance is great as it allows for easy unloading and loading of stuff. You practically drive right to the front door. We had such an amazing time! We cannot rent there condo again in the near future!
