Enjoyable location, helpful staff, great for groups, would be fun for a wedding party. Spiral stairs are a bit of a challenge with no bathroom upstairs but the view is worth it. The train goes by a lot which is charming if you like trains but may be off-putting to some. Salt water hot tub was nice in the evening and sauna after breakfast and a few beach walks made it a memorable stay.

I thought the property was beautiful and the cottages are wonderful, but I was pretty disappointed in the amenities. I was looking forward to using the sauna, but it wasn't really clear on how to operate that and there was no one making it clear. We missed the breakfast, that's served on site from 8a - 10a, but I'm not sure if that's included or a la carte.

We arrived about 45 minutes early, was told "sheets are in the dryer", have a drink/lunch or check out property. Heard from other early guests they were told the same. Unsurprisingly at 3:01 rooms were ready. I've never experienced anywhere i traveled, and was a bit early, checkin would be stated time. The weather was awful, just wanted to relax.

Hideaway Bay is a great little spot. We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage itself was very clean and nice. The beach is quite rocky so you need shoes to walk around and for the water (especially for little kids). It was great to have access to loungers and umbrellas. The beach bar was delivered food and drinks right to you on the beach, I would suggest putting side tables with the beach furniture so people have a place to put their drink down. The fire at night was lovely, everyone gathered around and the kids roasted marshmallows. The staff was incredibly kind, and accommodating. Really nice to see that! Overall we had a great time.

It's truly am amazing place to escape and relax. The lake it steps aways from your front door. Your own cottage makes is incredibly private. The esthetics inside is calm and serene and most important, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back in the summer when I can actually get in the water. 10+

Hideaway Bay is truly amazing! So peaceful and relaxing. A perfect weekend getaway! We stayed durning Mother’s Day weekend so it was much slower then I assume it would be in the summer. The staff was incredibly attentive- always make sure we had what we needed. If you pass them outside, they are always checking in with you, which i really appreciated it. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The homes were clean and stocked with what you need. Beds were relaxing. Sleeping upstairs is amazing because you can wake up to the view of the lake (if staying in the front villas). Drift had amazing food and wonderful service. The hot tub and sauna was a nice touch. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I would 100% stay here again and will definitely be back in the summer to see this place running at full capacity. The only negative thing i can say (and it’s not their fault) is there is a train right behind the property which can be noisy as it does run all day but its about a min of noise and then right back to peace. Wasn’t even a bother but worth noting.
