Wonderful vacation, unit very comfortable & clean.

Reviewer Comments: I always enjoy staying at House of Sun with my family. The staff is always very pleasant & very accommodating, the grounds are very well maintained. I love the new landscaping. My family especially enjoyed the new outside grills. Definitely hope to return .

The only real issue was the unit door access due to the keys not working very well.

We all four love this area and to have a place that was well kept and full of a family friendly accommodation was a blessing. The staff was outstanding and really did and awesome job. Awesome Condo

We stay at The House of Sun every trip to Siesta Key. This was one of our favorite units. Beds are very comfortable. Partial ocean view but we did not stay in the condo much other than sleeping.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is not our first time staying at House of Sun and definitely won't be our last.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great place to stay, right on the ocean with a semi view of the ocean. Beds are comfortable, master shower is amazing! However, my room had ants, they did spray 2 days later due to the weekend and that took care of them. They chain the chairs at the pool which is bad you can't face the sun when laying out.

There was plenty of dishes and cookware. Great view of the beach (some other roof tops). We could see the water and beach area.

Another Great Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had another wonderful week in unit 405 at House of the Sun. This unit feels like home as this was our third stay in this unit. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, pots, and pans. This allowed us the opportunity to prepare food within our unit two evenings during our stay. We appreciate that the spare bedroom had a double and a twin bed. The weather was perfect. We enjoy staying in this area due to the restaurants and live music, and shops available right across the street. The staff was helpful and courteous. We look forward to our next trip to House of the sun in June 2021.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at House of the Sun for 30 years! Always has friendly/ helpful staff. This unit had very comfortable beds and all the kitchen items you would need. Only issue was something new this year. A beach umbrella/chair company takes up 1/2 the available water front space at 6:45 every morning. This limits the area everyone else can set up. Multiple times, the chairs / umbrellas never got rented. Management needs to rethink this. Leave beach space first come first served as it has been for 30 years Otherwise, HOS is a great place to stay !!!!

We try to being one of our five adult children with us each time so we can keep a one on one relationship with them as our family gets older. We’ve found House Of the Sun a very nice place to do this from. We love it’s location. We enjoy having the retail experience right across the street. We love the cleanliness and quality of the beach front. And we love the trolley that gives us rides to the village. There are a few thing House Of the Sun could improve on: provide a few basics in the units like dishwashing and laundry soap and sufficient amount of toilet paper. In the kitchens, provide salt and pepper and liquid dishwashing soap. The office staff needs a morale boost. They never seem to be very happy in the 3 years we’ve been staying at House Of the Sun. We missed seeing a guardsman this year in the premises.

June 2019 Stay

We had a very special week with our extended family. House of the Sun is our favorite place to gather as a family, and we have been doing so since 1988. Although this was not the largest group to gather, we did have 19 members this year. We love the depth of the beach, allowing plenty of space for the "little ones" to play. Football, soccer, and bocce were big hits this week. We enjoy circling the chairs, listening to music, and visiting. The water was a little rough this week, but it made for fun water time. Tide out and the deep sand bar made it safe for the really little ones to be in the water safely. The use of the grills throughout the week provided special family meals, and the area for a surprise 50th/60th birthday celebration. So many wonderful amenities for a family gathering. We are already looking forward to the 2021 gathering. Thank you for being our home away from home for our family.
