Unfortunately needs work and uncomfortable

We understand there was a huge hurricane months ago so the property still needs work and the ongoing construction all around is inevitable. An advanced warning of visitors on the property would have been nice though. The bigger issue for us was the furniture; it photographed well but was cheaply made and very uncomfortable. The beds in particular need to be replaced, extremely uncomfortable, almost ridiculously so - you can see the deep dents when you walk into the room. Crazy for this price point to have junk beds. Fans, light switches and AC regulator all finicky. Sheets missing on two beds and not enough towels and blankets. Basic cereal bowls and spoons missing. Outdoor furniture run down. Space tight for the number of people it's listed for. Sadly, attention to detail was missing. ON the bright side - you can easily walk into town and to the beach so the location is great. Check in was easy. The manager communicates well, very kind, and will call to see how things are going. There was a quick response to sheets, bowls and spoons which we appreciated. Hopefully with time the house will be made new and worth the price it's listed at. As it is now, if you plan to spend time at the house, cook, rest in a chair and sleep well - it's not comfortable. Sorry for the rough review.

This property definitely is not shown as it is on VVR. It is very rundown. Doesn’t look like they do much preventative maintenance. I would never stay here again.

Guys trip

The property was perfect. We booked both units so we could have the whole courtyard. The location was great. 5 minute walk to bars, restaurant, and beach. The check in process was easy and the checkout process amazing. The owner encourages you to enjoy your last day in paradise instead of all the cleaning that some places require. I would recommend this property.

Absolutely amazing!

My family and I enjoyed this property so much! It is minutes to a more secluded part of siesta key beach which we loved since it wasn’t crowded. It is also just minutes to the village and we all enjoyed the convenience of having all the shops and restaurants near by. We also loved the patio area. It has shade all day and it was nice to have a relaxing area to gather and get out of the sun. The units themselves were beautifully decorated, spacious and well stocked with everything we needed! My family enjoyed riding the bikes around the village and beach and we appreciated having wagons and beach chairs available as well! We had the best time having family meals in the outdoor dining area. We were really able to come together and create so many happy memories during our stay and for that I am so grateful!

Christmas family vacation

We rented both sides of Casa van Lopik with a large group age raging 12 to 78 years old. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Walking distance to village or beach was ideal for kid freedom, shopping, and going out for drinks. Parked the cars and never had to drive. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards were all there for us. Great response from owner (Dan) with any minor issue we had, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The outdoor hangout area was perfect. A fantastic stay overall.

Wedding weekend

We had 10 people there for our wedding weekend. The place was very clean and just like the pictures presented. The owner was just a phone call away. We were able to check in a little earlier which helped out a lot. It’s within a short walking distance to the beach and the Village area. You can basically park your car in the driveway and forget about it while you’re there. The owner provides a lot of beach amenities (chairs, tents, umbrellas, paddle boards, kayaks and bikes). The beds are comfortable. There is a washer and dryer available. I would stay here again wothoit hesitation.

Perfect senior trip!

We had a great experience with 7 high school seniors and their families staying together at this property. The location was ideal as we could walk to get food, drinks, and to the beach. The house was outfitted with what we needed for our days at the beach and the back yard was perfect for gathering in the evenings. Communication with the property manager was a breeze! It’s an ideal place for a large group.

Perfect for family get together!

Our family group of 17 stayed here for 5 nights using both sides of the condo! We fit comfortably and location is great! We fixed 1-2 meals/day at house and enjoyed the area restaurants for other meal. Close to a beautiful white sandy beach and some of our group spent afternoon at Venice Beach too! House has all the basics you need, plenty of towels and the courtyard and balconies were perfect places to relax! Would recommend to friends and family visiting this area. Dan was ultimate host and answered our questions and made great suggestions for dining options!

Missing a couple things

I liked this duplex but there were to many things wrong that we won't return. It was missing things we have in any home we rent. Board games are Always there. Not here. A Book with recommendations and info about the house. Just Little things all week we're off and the one duplex was really musty smelling and the furniture wasn't as nice. The washer and dryer are much smaller in the one too. The back unit I believe is 360 is awesome. The back yard is beautiful when you have it to yourself. There are Lots of people on and off everyday. It's like they are running a business out of there. I complained but they still came everyday. There is an office and a storage area there on the premise connected to the Duplex. And they parked in our driveway so our guest had no where to park. They had a package delivered there and it was huge and they woke my husband to sign for it. The owner did communicate. I am not a complainer so the one time I called I didn't love his answer so I didn't dare call back. Location is great!!!!

Clean Spacious and Great location

We rented both sections for our family and still more than enough room for all of us. Beautiful home, great location, convenient to shopping, beach, etc. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy Siesta Key Beach due to red tide. We went to St. Pete beach during our stay. However we enjoy our walk in Siesta Key Village in the evening. Communication with host was great, quick response. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and beach towels. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice, comfortable home in Siesta Key.

Plenty of Room

More than enough room for my family group of 18. My son’s family of seven came over from West Palm and spent one day with us; we still were not cramped. Very convenient location; 3 minute walk to the beach; 3 minute walk to the grocery store. I would book this property again.
