Rain Rain Rain

We went to costa rica and it rained all week and we didnt see the sun the whole time. We were so glad we booked this place as it truly was a jungle retreat. It is a huge property with an amazing view. we were impressed with the landscaping and structure of the house. There is lots of room for 4 people to hang out in the rain.

Beautiful beach getaway

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The house had minimal supplies but was in a perfect location for adventures around drake bay and Rincon. Pool was amazing beach was amazing with bioluminescent. Unfortunately during our stay we were robbed of all our money and electronics as none of the doors truly locked even though it seemed to be a far away place no one could get to. We were unable to contact the guy watching over the property. But overall a secluded peaceful getaway.

FULL Retreat on this little piece of paradise

We stayed for 6 weeks to fully experience the area during our time. Our main objective was to find a safequiet place to completely disconnect from our busy routines, and the house gave us the retreat style during our stay.We can't thank enough Elena and Julio, for taking care of the property, offering their help/support if needed, they are just two amazing human beings.Our communication with the host was clear and effective, we reported a couple of issues with the house and they took care of it after few days. Always attentive to our feedback. The morning view is just amazing, you can see as far as the other side of the bay while you listen to the sounds of nature surrounding the house. It is strongly suggested to check the tide forecast to avoid getting surprised with no beach to walk. Kunken Lodge is closeby to have a nice meal.Closest villages are Rincon (5 min), La Palma (10 min), south to Pto Jimenez (40 min), around the pensinsula to Matapalo, many beach pointsamazing views of the pacific and Corcovado Beach. Also Drake Bay (1.5 hrs dirt road) with a rough drive bc it rained the day before, we took our time. Around the bay you will experience many sightseeing points around Osa and to Golfito. This is the place to find a good retreat but it could have more comfort/leisure: a TV, chairs and benches are hard, no living room, kitchen tools.Do not get less than a 4x4 truck, the path to the house is on a steep hill. It also helps when it rains.

Great Stay in the jungle

Beautiful property on the Gulfo Dulce. We loved it there. Plenty to see and do in and around the neighborhood.

Incredible views and wildlife. Caretaker, Mainor, was so welcoming and took us on a 3 hour morning hike in the jungle, pointing out plants, trees used for medicine and wildlife. The next morning, he took us fishing in his row boat - idyllic. We swam in the pool and found it very refreshing with amazing wildlife like toucans and macaws. Can't speak highly enough of this place and Mainor

Rustic house

The house is very, very rustic, but it has a certain charm. The cold water was ok for us, because it was hot and cold shower was refreshing. The sleep without air conditioning was difficult, because it was very hot and humid when we visited. I didn’t use the pool, but the rest of my family did and they all felt very itchy and had red spots after using it, the pool doesn’t seem to be chemically treated and the filtration system doesn’t work. The kitchen can use some upgrade. If you are looking for a quiet place, it’s a place for you. The house keeper was very nice.

A Blissful Stay in a True Paradise!

I really don´t have enough superlatives to describe our stay in this beautiful place! Everything was just PERFECT, it is a true private paradise. Mainor was just a sweetheart, and thanks to him for sharing all of his natural wisdom, and to his wife for making us the most DELICIOUS fish lunch! Lovely, Lovely place!

Rustic Paradise

This property is a beautiful, rustic paradise. Perfect to get away, bird watch and see nature while staying put. The property caretaker on site was wonderful and checked-in on us to make sure we were doing okay. There are a few things to note before reserving this property: 1) there is no hot water. 2) there is no air conditioning 3) check in process was not that easy 4) kitchen needs upgrades including utensils and appliances.

belle images mais la plage est peu propice à la baignade eaux souvent rouges à cause des pluies risque de picotements de la peau. Pas de wifi c'est dommage et pas de lave linge.
