"Lovely old property with lots of character. Comfortable beds and nicely furnished. As a group of friends we enjoyed our stay. 20 min taxi or bus ride into York. Very few negatives. Bit of road noise as it's a busy road, a few hair dryers would have been nice, description said it was near a shop, but not the case."

"A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again."

"Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered. The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. "Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "
