Specialising in locally caught lobster and crab, this delightful resort has a wealth of great places to eat and drink and is home to the North Norfolk Railway which runs steam trains through the countryside to the Georgian town of Holt (6.5 miles). Heading east along the coast, the lively Victorian-era seaside town of Cromer (6.5 miles) has a gorgeous beach and an impressive pier; to the west are quieter beaches and villages including Weybourne, Cley next the Sea and Blakeney, all within 14 miles.
