Really lovely cottage, it's a bit isolated but really this is also probably one its positives as you can disconnect and relax.The cottage is a very good size, the beds are big and comfy and the owner is very welcoming.Great for dog owners as there are gate on the stairs and a fenced garden if you want somewhere for your dog to relax.Would highly recommend

Perfect country getaway

We have just spent a fantastic few days at Churchill cottage. The cottage us much bigger than expected with everything you need for a comfy stay. Rachel and her family are so welcoming and even gave us the chance to help feed the lambs. The brownies on arrival were very tasty and a lovely gift. We hope to return soon

Our experience at Churchill Cottage was fantastic.

Our experience at Churchill Cottage was fantastic. Rachel and family are so welcoming and friendly. Their farm is beautiful and the quality of the produce produced there is outstanding. We bought some of their steaks from the cafe and cooked in the cottage - best steak we have had in a very long time. We actually bought some of their meat to bring home with us. The cottage itself is a great size, as a family of 5 and two dogs we never felt on top of each other. We loved every minute there. The on site cafe is a great addition as well - highly recommend the coffee and the breakfast menu - worth a try on your visit.

The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived.

The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived. The heating system was very efficient, so we didn't really need to light the wood stove but we are glad we did as it really enhanced the lovely lounge. The owner was very chatty and friendly and it was nice to hear more about the working farm on which the cottage is situated. We had some lovely walks on the beach at Burton Bradstock (45 minutes drive) and around the Hardy Monument (30 minutes drive). There are some nice dog walks around the area, much to the approval of our energetic Patterdale Terrier. We can also recommend the coffee at the farm shop/cafe on site.

We would highly recommend this property.

We would highly recommend this property. Rachel was extremely friendly and welcoming. She also took time to take any children or adults around the farm spending time with them explaining how the farm was run. If you want a holiday to rest and relax but have places of interest to visit we would suggest you book this cottage. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage especially if yr after peace and quiet. Rachel was more than accommodating nothing was too much trouble. She gave us a tour of the farm and even allowed us to buy some of her steaks which were amazing. Staying here was a truly exceptional treat. The cottage is an unspoilt bit of history and the environs represent that last little bit of old England that yet survives. Family civilized and helpful, and genuinely love dogs rather than seeing them as a chance to charge more.

Our holiday was made extra special by Rachel who showed us the animals and let us help her every evening to bottle feed the lambs. Nellie and Jazz (the dogs) also made us feel really welcome. Lovely historic house that we stayed in and good walks round the neighbouring fields. The nearby town of Sherbourne was a beautiful small market town. We highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a quiet getaway Rachel and Trevor
