Note: The Hygge Escape is nestled on a scenic mountain road, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful retreat. We recommend AWD or 4WD especially during inclement weather, such as snow or icy conditions.

Please rest assured that if anything does not function as expected, we are fully committed to resolving it as quickly as possible. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we will do everything we can to provide a timely solution.

All of the property is open for guest, the only off limit space at the moment is a basement that is not connected to the house.



Guest will do self check in, and can reach out to us with any questions.



Just a heads-up: the road to the property is steep and gravel—part of the adventure that comes with these amazing mountain views! Take it slow, enjoy the ride, and you’ll be a mountain pro in no time. Something to keep in mind before booking!



For a more comfortable and reliable experience, we recommend using a vehicle with AWD or 4WD, especially during inclement weather.



Although regular pest control measures are taken, the property's location near the national park and in the woods makes it more likely for insects to find their way inside. The most common insects that may be encountered are flies, stink bugs, and ladybugs. It is important to note that these insects are not harmful, and their presence is merely an annoyance rather than a threat.



✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and security deposit. We know security deposits are annoying, so to make it easier on you we have 2 options that you can choose between:



Option 1: Damage Waiver ($37) - Have a worry-free stay with coverage for up to $1500 for accidental damage (spills, breaks, mishaps) with no surprise charges. Just relax and enjoy your stay. Coverage up to 10 nights, +$2/day for longer stays, and provided by a third-party insurance company.



Option 2: Security Deposit ($1,000) - Refundable temporary hold that releases after your stay.



To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it's a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.



Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional and include:
