A little slice of heaven on earth

I first came to this beautiful place in 2021 looking for clarity and peace from life. I found those things at the cabin. The cabin has become a yearly trip for me get away from all of the craziness life brings. Cabin is always stocked with most of the things needed in case you forget anything. Beautiful view of the lake. I spend all of my time on the wharf (dock/pier) enjoying the sounds of nature and the water. We caught a good bit of fish this weekend. Owners are next door and are always available if you need anything. They are the sweetest couple. Great place for any solo female travelers as it’s very safe. I can’t wait to be back at the cabin next year.

The Cabin

The Cabin is wonderful with a beautiful view of the lake. Perfect deck with great pier and cleaning station. Very comfortable and clean. Host are excellent. Would absolutely recommend.

Ocker’s Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was everything we thought it would be. The kids enjoyed fishing off the piers a few different times. There was plenty for the kids and adults to do.

Little slice of heaven on Earth

I fell in love with this cabin 3 years ago. This was my 4th stay. I plan on making this an annual trip every year. I love that as a solo female traveler I feel safe here. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for your stay minus groceries and beverages. Lots of wildlife in the backyard and on the water. I spend most of my time on the wharf(dock, deck, pier) soaking in nature and sound of the water. Rhonda and Dan go above and beyond in making sure that my stay is a comfortable one. I cannot wait to bring my grandchildren with me to experience this slice of heaven on earth.

Great getaway!

This is our fourth year staying at the cabin. We absolutely love everything about this place. Dan and Rhonda are the greatest host ever. It is so peaceful and beautiful there. I love watching all the Eagles. We hope to keep coming back for many years!

Great little cabin

Very nice little cabin. Felt like home. Everything we needed was there. Small but comfortable. Comfy beds and neat back yard. Rhonda was quick to answer any questions I had and very helpful. Wish we could have spent more time at the lake.

Heaven

This was my third stay at the cabin. It’s where I find peace and escape from the world. Dan and Rhonda are the sweetest people and such great hosts. I cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven on earth. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. It’s quaint and peaceful. I spend most of my time on the dock enjoying the sounds of nature.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin on the water

We had a wonderful time on the cove and recommend this if you just want some peaceful time away from it all. I hear the fishing isn't bad either. The host was available and friendly While you are in the area I highly recommend the fried fish at the marina about 1/2 mile away. If you are not catching and eating your own fish.

Great place to relax

We had a great time at the cabin. Enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the lake and watching the birds, squirrels and turtles and the occasional fishermen pass by. This cabin has everything you need for cooking a good meal to kayaks to enjoy the water.

Heaven!!!

This is my second time at The Cabin. I first came to it two years ago seeking peace & clarity from life. I left there with peace. This second time around I needed a break from life. The three day weekend at this beautiful property just what I needed. I left refreshed and relaxed. The cabin has everything you need. The only thing you need to bring is your food & drinks. The owners have the cabin stocked with all the essentials and then some. I spent my time on the wharf (deck) it was so peaceful there. Beautiful weather and wildlife to look at. Dan & Rhonda are the sweetest people. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I plan on visiting the cabin often. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed!!!

Beautiful quiet place

We had plenty of room to enjoy our stay. It was clean and well equipped. The owner loaned us their kayaks and life vests. Super nice people and a great place to getaway.

If your looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place. Host was amazing.

I would definitely return for a second trip, couple real good places to it, close by. Nice views of nature, big wharf to fish. Just a great, quiet getaway.

WHAT A FIND

The Cabin was great. Labels to help locating needed items. A friendly welcome on arrival. Very clean, well stocked. A fire pit outside with wood & kindling prepared. Had our fire and went fishing the next AM. On our return to the cabin the pit was prepared for another fire. Rhonda & Dan are great hosts.

Great little cabin right on the water!

This was a perfect little well kept place right on the water for fishing or just sitting on the dock and relaxing. It had everything you need for a quick last minute "mini vacay" just to unwind in a quiet little town. It was in a quiet area with a convenient store nearby and even close enough to cross states into Louisiana for dinner if you'd like! Definitely looking forward to staying here again!
