Catskills Getaway

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights at Daniel’s apartment. Communication with Daniel was fast and effective. The location was perfect as we hiked Giant Ledge and found excellent local restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Owner is a pervert

Recently stayed here. Owner decides to show up in the middle of the day unannounced. My gf decided to sunbathe as the property is secluded. I was sitting out with her when I noticed someone come around the corner of the building. As I watched, the person quickly tried to retreat but then decided to try to get a better look. I quickly stood up and the person, noticing me, decided to run and hide. Mind you, this all occurred over a few seconds. When I reported the incident to the owner, he not only admitted it was him but offered no apology for his behavior, simply stating it was his property and he needed to get work done. Needless to say, we will never stay there again. An owner that purposely violates their renters privacy for some lame reason and gets caught trying to spy on a lady is no place we need to visit. I have text messages to back up all I claim. And videos and photos of how we left the place should the owner try something funny.

Daniel’s place was easy to find and very convenient to Belleayre Mountain. Only 12 minutes away. We loved the space, there’s lots of cool, quirky details throughout the apartment. He was a great host and we would definitely stay there again.

October Weekend Getaway

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here for the weekend! The place was very clean and spacious where it would easily accommodate more people. The apartment is in a perfect location to get to many popular hikes in the Catskills.

Basic needs

Overall place abd location is good. Place is clean and organized. Though some dusting should be done. It’s a duplex looking property so if other book the second floor you’ll hear people upstairs. Beds were very comfy and blankets felt like a warm hug at night. Shower heads were powerful enough for us to wash our hair over the weekend or a proper shower. And the coffee maker is difficult to figure out. I think French press would’ve been a better option. Overall a nice place.

Great location, spacious and well-equipped

Centrally located between Margaretville/Delaware Wild Forest/Pepacton Reservoir, Tannersville/Hunter Mtn, and Phoenicia/Woodstock areas, giving convenient access to a wide variety of outdoor, dining, and in-town activities. Very spacious common area and well-equipped kitchen, with a nice sitting area outside. When the above apartment is occupied there is some noise -- a little more sound permeable than apartment building neighbors, but it was never too loud and there a lots of different spaces to be in if it became necessary. Check-in was all remote with a lock code, so no key pickup was necessary -- contactless experience for the COVID-wary or introverted! If you plan on doing a lot of your own food prep, I suggest making a pit stop at the IGA in Boiceville or market in Woodstock -- there's not much in the way of groceries locally, and the small market in Phoenicia we went to had a bare bones selection and prices were significantly marked up. Great experience -- felt remote but was also very convenient (the Clubhouse at Shandaken Inn, a delicious high-end dining spot, is about five minutes away, and there are many hiking trails close by). Would book again!

Great place for getaway

I was thinking of giving a four star b/c when we arrived, I didn’t know until late night that only two of the three queen beds/Murphy beds had bedding sets. When I sent msg to the owner, he quickly responded and provided us what we needed at 9:45 pm. Thanks for being so responsive! Very nice and modern apt to stay for a getaway. A little bit noise since it’s right at NY-42 but not too much to bear. Strongly recommended!

Beautiful and clean!

My family and I have enjoyed our stay here! The place was very clean when we arrived. I wasn’t expecting the apartment to be big and spacious. My husband and I were greatly surprised at how big and spacious the place was when we got there. There were enough towels, blankets and pillows for us. The place has great heat in every room. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom and bedrooms were nice and clean. Plus it was soo close to Belleayre Mountain which was why we were in town. We rented the unit downstairs so we do hear the footsteps from time to time. But overall, we had a great stay!

Cozy upstate getaway

Daniel's apartment worked out really well for a short weekend getaway upstate. They have put work in to spruce up the apartment (i.e. new bathroom elements) that all function. Noise from their family upstairs was sporadic but not an issue.

A beautiful place in the mountains

I met up with my best friends here for a weekend away during the pandemic and it was lovely. Daniel keeps the place very clean and was clear with instructions on how to get in. It's only 5-10 minutes to hiking spots and just a lovely little place.

Great spot for golf, skiing, or hiking!

peaceful, well maintained and well located. Water from the creek puts you to sleep at night. Very close to great golf (Hannah Mountain highly recommended) as well as skiing and hiking. I will definitely be back!
