The location of this house is its best quality. It’s a short, delightful walk to tapas bars, pastry shops, and historical sites of old Sevilla. Grocery stores and coffee/breakfast places are within a block or two.
The house accommodated our family of 11 with its six bedrooms and four baths. Four of the bedrooms and two of the baths are on the second floor, and the other two bedrooms and baths are on the third floor (American numbering system). The open living room/ dining room was undersized for our group but not a problem. The kitchen, although adequately equipped, is tiny with room for only one person at a time. The simple act of making toast or coffee was a source of frustration and wasted time because of the “traffic jam” in the kitchen.
All in all, the house worked out fine for our large group, although more attentive management of the rental is called for. Many of the light bulbs in the lamps were burned out. One of the shower hoses couldn’t be used properly because its holder was broken. All of the doors need maintenance. It was almost impossible to latch or lock the bedroom and bathroom doors. Toilet paper was in short supply. We had to buy extra at the market.
Check-in was unnerving. I received no instructions ahead of time other than “call me when you arrive at the train station.” Although check-in time is listed as 12:00, the cleaners weren’t finished until about 2:00, so we were told to come back after a few hours. Not a big problem, just inconvenient.
