Dirty!!

So we arrived an hour early and I kindly asked for the check in info with no response, which is ok. Messaged again at 4 (check in time) for the door code, still no response. Messaged again at 415. No response. Finally called the number to the host and was sent to voicemail three times. Third time I left a voicemail and instantly got a message with the check in info. When we got inside we always check beds and other areas before bringing our items in. The pillows are nasty with stains and actually went out and bought our own to use there. An expense I didn’t want! The double door that goes out to the front porch where the hot tube was, you could see dog slobber marks all over the bottom of it from previous guests so the doors hadn’t been cleaned. The couch cover had a strong scent of frebreeze and I have an allergy to scents so that tells me it hasn’t been washed from previous guests. The bed covering were stained along with the upstairs carpet. It’s almost black from stains. The down stairs faucet for the shower is stripped out and impossible to use so everyone has to shower in the upstairs shower. The fireplace doesn’t work which it wasn’t in the description of the cabin but in pictures. Messaged the host about it and never got a reply. It was an ok cabin but def needs to have some things fixed and CLEANED. At some points you can smell sewer.

Not totally happy

First off I'd like to say the booking was easy but contacting and getting responses back from property manager was terrible. Responses were long and only after multiple messages I got a response. Check in was for 4 p.m. and it wasn't until 3:45 that I finally received entry info and that was only because I had to spend over 30 minutes of phone holding time to get in contact with VRBO because I couldn't get the manager. The property overall was clean and attractive but multiple issues occurred. First, is there are multiple wasp/yellow jacket nests right around entry doors and walkway plus back patio so entry was cautious. Secondly, the upstairs loft has no privacy and the railing upstairs is very dangerous for pets and kids. Definitely needs to be reported to fire department as safety is of major concern. One of our dogs fell through the opening of railing because they are spaced very wide and access, falling is extremely easy. We also had major issues with smelling septic gas inside and outside parameters of property which at times made for a stinky stay. Pillows also need to be replaced and hot tub cleaned and disinfected as it was absorbed disgusting. So, overall not happy.

Please do not waste your money.

I have never left a bad review for a property. Ever. But I would not wish the experience we had on anyone else. My friends and I showed up to this cabin at 11:00p.m. after a conference we attended. The first problem was the sewer smell in the downstairs bedroom. The next problem began when we pulled out the couch. Food and bugs were in between the mattress and plastic. There was also no bedding provided. The bedding in the downstairs bedroom was disgusting. Many stains were visible on comforter, sheets, and pillows. Carpet leading upstairs was also very dirty. There was also food left on the stove, tables, and chairs in the kitchen. We left that night and never came back. We had to invest more money into a hotel. Host had not contacted us or returned any messages. VRBO will not help either. We lost close to $800 on this property. Please, please do not waste your money!

Not so great

Well there was dust around all the windows. The toilet seat upstairs needs replacing, there are nails sticking up in the floor where the transition molding from tile to laminate is missing. The entrance door knob is about to fall off. The water valve in the down stairs tub is messed up. Either to hot or to cold. We had to leave one night earlier because of no power and we had a two year old granddaughter so we needed heat. We told the owner this but no response as of yet.

Not terrible but could have been better

There were a few things that could have been cleaned better in the house but overall it was ok. The outside of the house was slightly worse. The deck needs to be fixed and the door had been cheaply fixed. Hot tub was decent and overall nice house the owner just needs to invest in a better cleaning crew and upgrade a few things to make it a nice place for the money. We likely won’t rent this one again.

Super clean!

Very clean! Good location, fairly close to all attractions. (except if it would snow) nice cabin. Only minor issue was hot tub was so strong with chlorine, it would burn our eyes, so we could not use it after first time. One of the cleanest cabins that we have ever stayed in.

First timers!

This was our family’s first time renting a property like this, so we were worried about how to get in to the cabin. We sent a message to the property owner a few days before asking about early check in and got no response. We also asked about how to get into the property the morning of our reservation, we did get a response then but not until check in time. So with some worry about how to get in we would have felt better knowing that in advance!! Other than that everything was great—we loved the space, the hot tub, the porch, and the location to everything while still feeling like we were secluded in the mountains. Would definitely stay there again and recommend!!

Secluded cabin conveniently located

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean, well equipped and close enough to most of the things we wanted to do in the smokys. Really enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Bear Necessities

The seclusion of the cabin was nice as well as the gated entrance. The one lane road up the mountain was shocking. If you met another vehicle, one of you had to back up...fortunately, that did not happen, however there were several other cabins (at least 3) above us. The cabin should be sprayed for roaches and the bedding updated. It would be nice to have a recliner and the sofa needs to be replaced. The back deck windows need cleaning and the doors to the washer/drier were off track. The carpet on the stairs should be deep cleaned. Otherwise, it was ok for a short stay.

Great 1st time stay in a cabin as a family

After the passing of my beloved mother, our time in the cabin was just what we needed. The cabin was clean and I’m a clean freak. The location was private plus close enough to all the amusement and shopping. The owner replied within reasonable time. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Liked privacy and quiet setting. was warm and comfortable, Nice gas fireplace did not like parking, water dripping down on your head from gutter over entrance and sheets and pillows are lacking plus no bath mats.

Nice cabin

I was disappointed that there was no view of the mountains like was shown online when I was looking at this cabin. That is my main complaint. Also, the grill onsite was rusted beyond use, so I would recommend bringing a grill with you. It was secluded so no neighbors right beside you, which was nice. The hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 small dogs. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it as a nice place to stay.

Clean cabin! Good location!

Will start with the positives! Good location to move in between towns. The cabin has all you need for basic cooking, baking, grilling, coffee,toaster, etc...very convenient! Very clean in terms of no bugs, no animals! Very important when sleeping in an strange bed and you are picky-scared of bugs. I was pleased I didnt see any... The hot tub, very nice and clean ready to use! It has washer and drier and all appliances new, water is good for a great shower in both baths the jacuzzi as well. Its safe, gated area with few cabins, so looks safe. We had a great stay and overall serve the purpose, for a fair price, compare to other cabins not as good and maybe over priced.Tv in every space (3) with different channels, perfect so everybody can watch whatever they want! It has a nice worling fireplace. The wood all around its beautiful! Things to improve: Cleaning can be better for floors, were very dusty and no reason I beleive. You have plenty of water. Plus you charge a cleaning fee, so can be done better as well as in kitchen. You can invest a little on kitchen items. A good set of pans in cotsco is 40dlrs and can do better job! And give better impression. The publicity is deceiving, the cabin is not secluded, yes you cannot see the cabin from the main road, neither the road from cabin, but its very noisy since its right on the main road almost. So be aware is great location, but a bit noisy. Its private, not secluded. Its fits 4 perfect...besides it has a sofa bed. 5 o 6 is too many in there. The common space is limited. To make it perfect. I would invest on a better set of couches, they are very uncomfortable to seat and watch tv. Definitively not a good rest there. The dinning table can me adjusted so its not dancing all over. Finally, again, you can invest a bit more and put a nice welcoming package, better soap, shampoo, the dollar store has nice traveling sizes that are brand and will leave a better taste to your customer...answer emails and be proactive to communicate with renters also gives confidence on the rental and avoid people thinking it is a scam rather that a great deal actually, as it is! My husband said... maybe cut some of the topof some trees to actuallyget a view, that you have hidden behind all those trees. 😉😊 Thank you, we had good time! With No incidents! I wouldnt wow it, but I think it is a great cabin, has potential! And definitevily you can rent more and maybe for more $ if willing to invest a Little.

Wow!!! Just wow!!!!!

I was so impressed with this unbelievably gorgeous cabin. It was so immaculately clean. The decor gave that perfect Smokey mountain cabin feel. The beds were so comfortable. I am so beyond impressed by this cabin we plan on staying there year after year. The view from the deck overlooking the mountains through the lush green trees was breathtaking. It had a little wooden rocking chair that I would sit and drink my morning coffee on. The jacuzzi on the deck made for a perfect night to watch the mesmerizing lighting bugs in the trees. Me and my family can not wait to come back. The owner was so pleasant and got back to me right away with any questions that we had.

The cabin was clean and as described. The location was private and secluded - just what we wanted.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. We were pleased! The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked great. The bathrooms were good sized and nice. The hot tub worked great, as well as the jacuzzi up in the loft area. The refrigerator and stove were both brand new and looked and worked great. The loft upstairs was a perfect “getaway” for my kids. They loved having their own space. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. We will be coming back to vacation in the area again and we will definitely be renting this gem again!
