I would like to start by saying the cabin is beautiful, beds are comfy, and the owners were good with communication. Tho the three reminder emails I received during our stay reminding me when I was due to check out, were a little much.
When we arrived the code didn’t work to get in the door, frustrating, but contacted owner and that was fixed with a new code. Instructions on how to operate a few things in the cabin like heat/air and fireplace were vague, so we googled. Owners said they would look into clarifying how things operate around the cabin in their arrival info. The driveway is very steep but our Traverse had no issues. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was nice. Lots of games for the children, also nice. I will say, the floor to ceiling windows were filthy, so dirty. There were lots of cob webs and dust bunnies, kitchen table had dried food all over it, and when I tried to use the washer and dryer that’s provided in the basement, they had sheets/clothes in both of them. Very odd. I also want to add that in this, and most cabins, heat rises. While it may have been 68 on the first floor, it was easily 78 on the second. Our kids slept on the giant sectional on the first floor most nights due to it being so hot upstairs.
We enjoyed our stay here, having two bathrooms was great, the view wasn’t much, but it’s quiet and relaxing and was nice to get away from it all. Thank you to the owners for answering my messages promptly and for sharing your mountain retreat with our family.
