Check in was easy. The whole place was nice and clean. We loved the pool table and how every room had a tv. Another plus is all put one room had its own bathroom. The place was nice the only thing we didnt like was how close the other cabins are and theres not alot of parking but other then that we it was great. We will definitely be booking again.

Excellent property for large family gathering and very close to the action. Only issue is that you can’t see the Mountain View because trees have overgrown the view. You also have the deck facing west even though it is called sunrise cottage. That isn’t going to happen

The cabin was very clean and welcoming. It had plenty of space for the 9 of us and the views from the decks were beautiful. Unfortunately, it did not seem that the cabin was well taken care of and communication was not the best. When we arrived, the temperature in the house was 89 degrees, even through the thermostat was set to 68 degrees and there was a broken window in one of the bedrooms on the main floor. We contacted guest services and the property manager immediately. They did not seem concerned about the window and said that they would have a tech come out and check the hvac system and they would " keep me updated". I had to keep reaching out to them to get updates. They kept saying someone was coming, but no one came until Tuesday and even then, the tech couldn't fix it until Wednesday. Wednesday evening it finally got fixed. We have stayed at many houses and we understand that things happen, but the lack of urgency and communication was very frustrating. We went 5 days, more than half of our vacation, with a wonky ac system and had to limit ourselves to certain areas of the house to stay comfortable. In addition to the ac, the electricity in the house seemed a bit quirky. Some lights would go on sometimes, but not always, especially the bathroom light in the master suite. The fan in the bathroom on the main level did not work. I did have to reach out to guest services to get out trash bin emptied and that was emptied quickly.

Overall, the stay was very nice! The location and amenities were accommodating!However, we did experience some downsides:upon arrival at 5PM (check-in at 4pm), the cabin was not been cleaned (beds unmade, towels in tub, tables & rugs dirty, etc); we had toleave and go eat and walk around until cleaning crew came and finished; the tv in one bedroom did not respond; and the grates on a coupleof the AC vents were missing or not secured.I would grade the visit a 4-star experience overall. We did have a Good Time!Thank You!

Great property added to family fun

We were seven women related by blood, marriage or friendship, ages from 30's to 80's. We had plenty of space to spread out for a too short weekend. Dinner at Margaritaville then home to visit and relax. The first morning we found our way to the deck off the kitchen, tea or coffee (both Keurig and drip makers) cups in hand, admiring the beautiful mountain scenery before breakfast at a pancake house followed by shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall. Back to our home away from home to relax and prepare for our own Masquerade Murder Mystery. The large living/dining room was a perfect place to enjoy dinner and the game. As I was setting up, I could hear the billiard balls clacking downstairs. Although we filled the hot tub, never had a chance to use it. Many of the houses appear to be VRBOs also, and they are close together but all the neighbors were as polite and friendly as I believe we were. The only problem we had and it was Mother Nature's fault, not the house - Saturday night there was a terrible storm and tornado watch. The deck hammock was being slammed against the house and woke up everyone. But nothing broke, nothing leaked, we were snug and safe. I would advise paying attention to weather reports! We were so wrapped up in our little world we didn't listen to any news, etc. It was the perfect place to unplug, unwind and enjoy each other's company. Our host was always available with quick responses. I would book this again in a heartbeat!

Spring break 2025

The house was great for our mutiple families. There were only few steps so it was easy for my mother who uses a walker to navigate. There were 2 nice size bedroom on the main floor. The bottom floor was perfect as a separate family area for one family and the large master upstairs was great for another family. We enjoyed the well supplied kitchen and were able to share multiple family meals around the dinning room table. The house was high up on the hill and had a great view. We enjoyed sitting out on the decks. The location was super easy to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and even the National Park. The house had 2 parking space out front and extra space really close for all of our vehicles.

Parent’s 50th Anniversary

We had an excellent time celebrating my parent’s 50th anniversary. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The grandkids had a fun time hanging out in the basement game room. We would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

Family Vacation 2024

The cabin was just as pictured online. It provided enough space for our group of 12 (8 adults and 4 children). The cabin provided an ample amount of dishes that we utilized throughout our visit. The host was extremely response to any questions that we had throughout the visit. The only negative was the main floor thermostat reset itself every 2 hours to 78 degrees so it has hard to keep this level of the house cool. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely book again if I were in the area.

Had a blast

28 min from the aquarium but I can honestly say it was fun and clean and everyone was nice. There are store that's 3 mins away if you want something. I work a lot so it was good see my family.

Wonderful Stay!

The cabin is absolutely perfect! It was plenty of room for our 8 adults and 6 children. The decks are fabulous. We brought our own grill because of the large group we needed it. We did see BEARS and they were beautiful but we grew up around them, so we knew to respect their space. The pool is really nice, and the area is quiet. The owner was very responsive when there were any issues that arose, and he fixed things quickly. He always responded within 10 minutes, and we felt very well taken care of. The master suite upstairs was divine with comfortable beds and enough privacy that allowed for a great get away with a toddler- giving her time to rest when needed. Everything is close by but far enough away to give you plenty of solitude. We will definitely book again if we are able to go back to the area. I highly recommend Ober Mountain as it is so much fun for the kiddos. We spent over 1/2 a day there. I highly recommend this rental to anyone going with a large group! When the listing says there are enough dishes believe me there is enough of everything! Very Nice, thank you so much for the wonderful experience.
