House was great and the little cabin was a hit with the kids!As for the pool, it was horrible, when we arrive the pool was murky, hair and bugs floating everywhere, filthy….the pool was freezing and the spa heater did not work. We aren’t picky people either but clearly the pool was not being maintained and the pool was never 82 degrees, which was confirmed by the property owner remotely as well as the pool technician that came out…who said the pool and spa was only 73 dregs…We waited a day thinking well maybe the pool will clear / warm up but up, but it never did so we contracted the property owner who sent us an insulting video about how to properly operate the spa….On our last day they sent a technician out to look at the pool, yeah conveniently arrived late in the day… they tried to troubleshoot the pool heater / cleaned the pool apparently but there were still floatiers, hair and remained murky. They found that the main pool filter was not cleaned out, not just floater filter, and the heater was not working and that they need to replace the main board on the controller for the pool.Moral of the story is find a different house or confirm with the property owners the condition of the pool before booking….we didn’t which we shouldn’t have to especially for the money we spent….and we were not refunded for what was clearly false advertising and clear neglect of the property. The property should not be rented if it is not being properly maintained.
