While we’ve truly appreciated the beautiful views and peaceful setting of this property, the condition and cleanliness of the home had fallen far below reasonable expectations and what was represented in the listing. Due to the number of serious concerns—ranging from hygiene issues, safety hazards, and broken amenities—our experience has been significantly impacted.The home was not properly cleaned upon arrival: there was food, hair, and dirt under the downstairs couch; the sheets in the downstairs bedroom were clearly used and not washed; the fan in the back bedroom was thick with dust; and the outdoor furniture was so dirty we couldn’t use it. Additionally, we encountered several major safety concerns, loose deck railing (which nearly caused a child to fall), and a broken bedframe.Other important issues included:a) Leak basement ceiling from the upstairs shower. b) A non-working light in the master bedroom. c) Door that took 30 minutes to open upon arrival. d) A barely stocked kitchen (just one dish towel and potholder).e) Non-functional water dispenser in the refrigerator. f) The garage was already full outside when we arrived and we have no place to put our trash!Finally, we were told that a boat rental was part of our package, if we stayed one week. Initially we were denied by the property mgr, after talking to the owner that was granted, however what was not told to us was that it was only for a portion of the rental. We were charged 123.

Perfect Lake retreat

Enjoyed our family vacation. Slept the 13 of us very comfortable. House was very clean and we had great response from owner when we needed a trash pick up mid week. We rented a boat from H2O Watersports over night and was able to tie boat from private dock at house. If you want privacy, peacefulness with a great view and easy access to lake this is your place. Thank you for allowing us to vacation at your beautiful home.

Family vacation

The house was great and plenty of space for our multi-family vacation. The view was great and having the water right there was great for the kids. It was very secluded which made it a little hard to get to but we found it. The only downfall for us was that the outside was not very kid or elder friendly. The hill down to the water was pretty steep and there was no easy way to get into the water unless you jumped from the dock which it’s easy with young kids. Overall would definitely recommend it.

Bachelor/bachelorette party

The cabin was absolutely perfect for my fiancé and I’s bachelorette/ bachelor party get away. Not only was the cabin super cozy and clean, but it was also located perfectly on Douglas lake so I was able to fish and enjoy wildlife but also enjoy all that Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg had to offer. Would highly recommend.

Great Stay

Fantastic.We loved everything, very cozy house with all the necessary implements. The place is very beautiful and quiet, ideal to rest and get away from the routine of the cities.We went with our dogs and they had a great time, large place where they can roam (always with supervision).In short, everything was spectacular!Only a little far the access and quite curves but that depends on each one and if you are looking for tranquility, relaxation, and away from the hustle and bustle you have to know how to adapt to the more rural and inhospitable places.

Family Getaway!

With our busy schedules we were finally able to schedule a getway we all could attend. Upon each of us arrivals we were taken back by the beauty of the property and all it had to offer. From 2 years old to 70 years old we never had a moment we were bored or ready to go home! Place was clean and group that stayed before us had broken the large TV and they had it replaced within hours. If my family could give this 10 stars we would so with 5 from each of us we give it 70 stars!

A Christmas Get Together

I rented the cabin for my husband and my five kids and my brother and sister and their family as well as my father. Some of the family stayed a few minutes away. It was a great time and we especially enjoyed the pool table and the views.

Comfortable

We were celebrating my son’s 30th birthday and have a large family. We were all in agreement that this place was awesome. There were also several family members that commented it would be a nice place to gather again. The hostess was absolutely wonderful and very flexible and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location.

Short Summer Getaway

We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! Our big family loved all this house had to offer, from the dock on the lake to the hot tub with the view, and even the fun games in the walkout basement! Great Lake Retreat!

We had a great time at this lake house for a family getaway. The place was very cleans DJ had plenty of space for everyone. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a lake retreat.
