Wisconsin family

It was an awesome vacation. Great house for a large family. Driveway was a little difficult in a 12 passenger van. Had a nice friendly visit from a bear. Would love to come back in a few years.

A few of the things listed on anmenties were not there, wasnt any frying pans to cook with needed a good cleaning and had a hard time dealing with washing machine was in a nice location

Roomy and cozy.

This property was awesome for our spring break week! We are 4 families with 7 teens and tweens between us. The basement was the perfect hangout spot for the kids. They had a blast having their own space away from the grown ups. The grown ups enjoyed lively conversations in the living areas on the main floor. The house is convenient to many attractions and shopping. But secluded enough to feel private and cozy. My only suggestion would be to add a door or curtain on the sun room where the daybed is for a little privacy. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this property for groups with older children.

Quiet and peaceful outside

We thought the cabin was very nice and in a very nice area. There was a couple of maintenace issues with the doors that could be addressed, but overall a great stay.

Secluded Cabin with plenty of beds

We loved the cabin. It was great for our toddler with the gates on the porch and door that closes to downstairs. We enjoyed the secluded area and fire pit outside. There was plenty of beds for the kids to spread out.

Mountain Retreat

The cabin was much more spacious that i expected. It was very nice the drive way and the neighborhood was fine just a little treacherous with a van. We had a great time though.

Not the experience we expected

Upon arrival it was very unclean.. especially the kitchen and the hot tub. Outside lights in the parking area did not work it's very dark . There is no theater room just a TV that didn't work. The DVD player wouldnt play movies. There's only one huge bean bag bed. No theater chairs. We literally had to clean the cabin before we brought our things in or used the kitchen. I contacted my host expressed all of my concerns. Couldn't use the fireplace either there was no instructions. Notebook to record any damages that were there when you were arrived. He asked me to send pictures I was unable to do so on the app.. instead I sent pictures directly to his cell phone number. First he tried to argue and say there was nothing wrong his partner was there the week before we rented it. He said he would look into the lights not working, thanked me for all of the things that I had discussed with him.. this was a family gathering to celebrate my son's birthday that we lost in 2021.. we clean the cabin before we left started a load of laundry and followed the instructions the refrigerator. There are several water stains on the ceilings and missing tiles cracked tiles on the ceilings and ceiling tiles that are destroyed underneath the beds, while looking for a way to start the fireplace we opened the access door and there's a bunch of trash and debris in it.. it wouldn't be safe to light. No safety Lock on the door to the fireplace. I felt the owner dismissed my concerns..

Peaceful secluded cabin

Nice secluded location. Cabin was nice size and stocked with everything you would need to cook with. Lots of activities and features to enjoy!

Family Trip 2024

We enjoyed the space. We had plenty of room to move around, yet still be together. There were plenty of activities available. The driveway was somewhat precarious, for us, who are from the south. The only recommendations we would make:- Install a hand rail on the stairs that descend from the main floor to access the game room. - Provide outdoor lighting from the parking pad that leads up the handicap ramp to the main floor.Overall interaction with the owner was outstanding. We had an issue and the owner had it resolved in about 90 minutes. Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin.

Rustic week end

Arrived at property for 4 PM check in, cleaners still on site until 4:30. We could however access 2 upper floors. She was pleasant and apologetic. Cabin/rooms are smaller than I expected. Seems like bathrooms on lowest level and upper level were an after thought due to awkward layouts. Difficult to control inside temperatures. Top level hot at night, lower level very cold. Tub/shower on top level drains SLOWLY, standing in ankle deep water to shower. Odd sulfur odor from mid level bathroom, I suspect well water ? Obvious water damage noted in kitchen cabinetry base as well as lowest level bath room with stained, damaged ceiling tiles. Carpet on stairs and low level bedroom needs replaced. No handrail on stairs to bottom level. Basically unit in need of a deep clean/update. Deck paint peeling, outdoor furniture near hot tub wobbly, question sturdiness. Cleaner noted ambient lighting near firepit not working so she arranged repair with the host which was done promptly the next morning. Unit was supplied with dish soap, hand soaps in baths, coffee pods, mini moo creamers, and a bundle of firewood. Later, on check in day we discovered we only had towel sets for 9, we had 12 in our party. We made due with what we had. Lastly, the mattress cover on lowest level bed is pretty awful, stained badly. Did not check the others as I didn't really want to know. Location is great, very secluded. Hoped to see the bears that the cleaning lady said came daily, however no sightings of them.

Wonderful Retreat

We had an amazing time at this property! Several aspects of this booking made this a very positive experience: Location: This is a perfectly secluded spot in the Smokies. The silence was deafening - nature everywhere. It was wonderful. Driveway is quite steep, parking is limited, so be prepared for that. Facilities: Fantastic! Exactly as advertised. We had sleeping for 15 adults! It was crowded, but we made it work. No major issues with facilities, everything was clean and ready for us. Cleanliness: It looked like a model home when we walked in. Very tidy, very inviting. The pictures do not do this place justice. We were very impressed. Host: Outstanding communication! The online guest guide is a wonderful resource. Air conditioning was on, jacuzi was hot when we got there. It really felt like they cared about our stay and overall experience! Note: If you park your cars, be careful of the walnut trees! Those walnuts can fall (yes, it was the beginning of the Fall season) and smack your vehicles. But that's nature! Overall: 10/10 would stay here again. We had an outstanding week because of the care that went into the host's preparation for our stay! Thank you!!!

The best family trip

Only a few glitches but nothing major to bother anyone about. We came during hurricane helene, so of course we had a few scares. The inclines were crazy but low gear got us up fine. Not one family member had a complaint. We got to see a mama bear with four cubs right from the side of the porch. Be careful on the steps to upstairs. I took a terrible tumble coming down the steps on our last day.

It was okay

It was difficult to get to the house by GPS, it keeps re routing due to lack of WiFi. You almost need 4 wheel drive to get there. When we found the house, we got inside & the floors were not swept well, hot tub stunk like mildew. The house sounds big but it was small, can hear everything. The game room did not have a game system like it said in the description.
