Great Cabin!!

The cabin was amazing! Clean and well appointed. Great location right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Communication with Randy, the owner, was fantastic. Replied immediately to any questions we had. A+++

Was supposed to be Mountain View all we seen was trees

Nothing be trees... and owner had camera that he texted us while we was staying there had top off of hot tub said he could see that the top was off of it and was going to reset the breaker or whatever it was... I’m like wait a minute how can you see the hot tub really? You have cameras on us? He never replied after that... and water in hot tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned from last tennant. Wasn’t too happy with this stay honestly

We stayed here for spring break and loved it. The owners kept in touch gave us great info on places to eat and do. Cabin was clean and stocked. Road directly to cabin is small and driveway is kinda steep we did fine driving an SUV plus we are used to country roads. We would definitely stay with this company again

This was our 6th cabin rental in the area and the first time an owner has communicated so well before, during and after. Cabin was cute and cozy. You are definitely tucked up in the mountain and seemed to be a bit echoey with the neighbors. We could hear them talking or playing music when we were outside but this didn't have an effect on our stay and enjoying the quiet and calmness that the mountains bring.

Great Get-Away and comfortable

Nicely located between Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A little hard to find...you MUST follow Randy's instructions! Randy & Brandy were assessable and easy to work with. The driveway was a little bit of a challenge, but not as bad as some we saw. We'd highly recommend.

Great place!

The cabin was wonderful. Check in was easy and the cabin was great! Our sun loved the pool table and the game system. The cabin was nice and clean when we arrived. We will definitely be booking again when we return to the great smoky mountains.

Awesome Getaway

If anyone is looking for a great place to rent for a visit to TN please consider SugarBear. From the time we arrived to the sad time of having to leave the process was so easy. My husband & I had a great Romantic 25 Wedding Anniversary getaway this cabin was just amazing and we also had a little visitor during our stay. That is why its called SugarBear Hideaway. Randy was amazing ! Called to check to be sure we made it there and also checked on us as we where driving home. If you are looking for a quite getaway this is the place for you !!

Family Vacation

The cabin was great, the kids loved the pool table, hot tub and video game system. It is located in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The owners were so nice and made us feel welcomed. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. I highly recommend the Sugar Bear Hideaway. We personally picked this cabin because of the name. Sugar Bear is what my wife calls me. Lol. The neighborhood squirrel even came to check on us every morning.

Sugarbear Hideaway

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We had an overall great experience. The cabin was perfect size for two, and was exactly what we imagined it would be. The hot tub and pool table were a nice addition. The only negative thing I can say was about the location. It was super convenient where it was located, but was a steep, scary drive to get to. It was a little nerve-wracking going up to the cabin each time, because of the steepness of the drive. We are aware though that this is the case with many cabins in the mountains. We otherwise had a pleasant experience with our stay, the cabin itself, and the owners were exceptional. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Great Location for an Anniversary Get Away

A perfect place to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. The cabin is adorable and well kept. From the hot tub and cozy fireplace, to the game loft, we enjoyed every day spent at Sugar Bear Hideaway. Excellent location-between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. So many things to do and see. Randy is wonderful, great communication. He gave us perfect directions, follow them and you'll have no problem. He also gave us great ideas on dining and things to do. Keep an eye out and you just might see a family of bear roaming the neighborhood, we did and it was amazing! Can't say enough good things about our stay. Hope to make this a yearly destination. Thank you Randy and Melissa!!

Amazing!

We had the best experience at Sugarbear cabin! From the moment we walked in the door it felt like pure relaxation. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing, and everything was so clean. We needed to add a day and check in early and randy was more than accommodating and willing to help us! His communication was the best of any cabin we have stayed at. We will certainly be back to enjoy another stay in the smokies at sugar bear!

Relaxing and cozy cabin!

After reviewing many cabins, we chose this one for a quick getaway due to its 5* reviews and amenities. It did not disappoint. Randy was the most attentive host we have ever encountered and answered any question via phone/text if needed. Very clean upon arrival which is important to me, I didn’t feel like I needed to re-clean anything when I got there which happens a lot with some rentals. Great location in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg; both are very touristy so this is a really nice spot away from that but super close if you want to partake. We hit the grocery store in Pigeon Forge and stayed at the cabin for the most part and relaxed. Instantly hit the arcade game in the loft to play and there’s a nice gas fireplace to keep it extra cozy inside- we had some snow which made it even prettier outside (and the Smoky Mountains looked awesome covered in a icy blanket) but some roads leading to the Smoky Mountains were closed so we didn’t get to explore too much. Did Cades Cove one day, but again it’s winter, so didn't see much wildlife- probs amazing the rest of the year! Totally fine because this cabin was so nice we just came back and hit the hot tub! Please note, some reviews mentioned a steep driveway, etc. Driveway is a bit steep but totally doable- it was icy when we arrived due to a storm the day before- but yay AWD Subaru- so no problem at all. If you are not used to driving in winter months or don’t have a reliable car you want to take up a hillside, just keep in mind weather can change quickly, so pay attention to the forecast or perhaps go a different time of the year. Example, we knew the roads would get icy the one night due to warm temps melting the snow in the day and freezing it at night - so just got back before temps dropped and stayed in that night and enjoyed the hot tub and stars! The roads leading to the cabin were two lanes then narrowed only for a short distance and they were plowed nicely when we arrived. Randy’s directions were spot on and I found that Apple Maps were also spot on for us too- but use his directions just in case, once there you won’t need them anymore as it’s only like 3 streets. Again, if you travel anywhere in the winter months, it’s a good idea to make sure you have good tread/the right kind of tires) on your car, cold weather gear just in case and you should be fine! Highly recommended this place, you won’t regret it; looking forward to coming back in the future! -Jess and Tim

Ten Stars!

We loved every minute of our stay at Sugar Bear Hideaway! My husband is a beach vacation guy but he fell in love with this cabin and the mountains! We will definitely be coming back! I was concerned about check in and being able to get in touch with owners but Randy and Melissa were the absolute best! Check in was a breeze! Truly warm and welcoming folks!

Wonderful!!!

Due to the winter storm on Christmas Eve we were unable to reach our cabin for 2 days. Randy went above and beyond to make reservations for us at nearby hotels until the roads were cleared and it was safe for us to travel. Once at the cabin it was exactly as described. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks again Randy for all your help!

Anniversary

My husband and I loved it. This was the first time staying in a cabin, my husband stated that is felt more like home versus staying in a hotel. We have come to TN for years and this was a new and exciting experience. Thanks to Randy the property manager who we were in contact with from the start. The cabin was clean and very intimate not to big or to small and my husband is already talking about booking again.

The owner Randy went over and above to ensure our stay was enjoyable and stress free. Randy contacted me quickly and provided directions, suggestions for dining and places to visit as well as provided his cell phone number in case anything was needed or if I had any questions before and during my visit.
