This property has some clear strengths, especially the view. The mountainside panorama is beautiful and was the main reason we booked this home. The location also worked well for us, with a grocery store and several attractions within a reasonable driving distance. The drive in is a bit technical, but worth it for the scenery.Guests should be aware that the driveway is very steep. It is short, gravel, and was difficult to get up, with several potholes during our stay. Smaller vehicles may have trouble.Communication with the host was good. He was responsive, answered questions promptly, and provided additional photos when requested.The house had plenty of room for our group and the kids enjoyed the bunk room and the games in the basement.The main reason for the lower rating was cleanliness. The home did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. We had to clean the bathrooms and showers ourselves, there was dust in multiple corners, the kitchen cabinets needed a deeper clean, some of the beds were not made, and there were food crumbs in the basement and theater room. Because one of our children has a serious peanut allergy, that was especially concerning.One final note: check very carefully before leaving. We accidentally left behind a few expensive items, and the host was unwilling to make any effort to help return them.Overall, the view and location were great, but the cleanliness issues and poor post-stay experience made this feel like a 3-star stay.
