We booked this spot to gather as a family to celebrate our late father who passed in October. The building, with its many sleepign spaces, fit our group size well. However some of the mattresses need updating (especially on the second floor. The kitchen was under-equipped. There was a definite lack of baking dishes/pans (I.e sheet pans). The frying pans were small for a kitchen to cook for 10 people. The biggest issue was due to a water main break in the neighborhood, we were forced to leave a day early. Our rental was from Sunday at 4pm til Wednesday at 10am. We lost water Monday, which we didn't discover until after dark. The first reponse from the management company was for us to go an purchase additional water for drinking etf with an offer of reimbursement and for us to check breakers and enter the basement space to check the water pump system. Then they would send a tech. With no timeline for restoration of service that was going to meet our needs, we decided to check out on Tuesday. The management company refunded only 29.5% of the total cost of the rental even thought we lost full use of the property for more than 1/2 of our booked stay. In a separate phone call to VRBO, they offered us 120 of OneKey credit against a future rental (but the credit has a expiration date on it). I can say we were not satisfied with the management of the loss of water issue.

The number of bedrooms with king sized beds and private or semi-private baths were wonderful, beds were comfortable and hot tubs were great. The host was very responsive to our questions.

I would not stay at this property again. It wasn’t horrible, but there were enough things about it that I would not stay here again.To start with I’ve never had a property owner so insistent on knowing everyone’s name and age . I gave everyone’s name and then I said in the 60s and 70s, but he wanted the exact age of everyone and asked me at least three times during the course of our communications. The ad says eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms. There are only three bedrooms that have a private bathroom that is not shared with the public or with another room. That was a big disappointment.The ad tells you that there is. Netflix and streaming surfaces. What they mean is that if you already subscribe to channels, then you can view it there with your password, but they don’t have it available unless I already had it and use my password. Almost every single TV did not work without you spending quite a bit of time trying to figure it out. I’m talking over an hour. There was not a Wi-Fi password and user ID posted anywhere in the place. You have to call to get the Wi-Fi password and login. I’ve never stayed anywhere that didn’t have it posted if it’s offered. Pictures are better than in person. One of my photos shows nails sticking up that kept stabbing my foot. I called to get a repair done and was told they would do it the next day. After saying, I was posting my pictures a handyman did come later that evening. He was good once he came. This place did not meet expectations.

For an older cabin, it is in really good shape. We loved the location most of all! We had a group of 14 ladies and one toddler. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for everyone's showers. We got to see a large bear roaming around looking for food on our last day there and got some great pictures of him. Thanks!

Multi generational family vacation!

Overall Great Family Time, But Some Key Issues Need AddressingOur family had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It was spacious enough for all of us, had absolutely beautiful views, and was in a great location—close to everything we needed. We truly appreciated the opportunity to be together in such a peaceful and scenic setting.The owner, Justin, was very responsive and helpful when we reached out with questions or concerns, which we greatly appreciated.However, there were a few things that did affect our stay:•Cleanliness: The cabin could definitely benefit from a deep spring cleaning. Some areas felt a bit neglected and could use more attention.•Fridge Issue: Unfortunately, the refrigerator was a major issue. Despite following all instructions, it never got cold enough to keep our food fresh. We ended up having to throw out a lot of food, which was frustrating—especially knowing this issue had been mentioned in earlier reviews.•Lockout: We got locked out a few days before leaving, and resolving that situation took quite a bit of time. Several family members were left outside waiting, which was stressful and inconvenient.•Dryer Problem: The upstairs dryer didn’t work properly, so we had to use the one on the first floor for all our laundry needs. This should definitely be repaired.•Towels: The towels provided were older and quite rough—newer, softer ones would really improve the overall comfort.That said, we made the most of

Shareholders meeting

This property was just as described and pictured. We had a great stay and communication from the property manager was fantastic. The property was clean and had plenty of room and spaces for our meeting as well as personal space in the evening. I greatly appreciated the amount of cooking items, coffee pots, dishes and silverware that was provided. The view was great from the 3rd floor. Ample parking was much appreciated as we had guests in from 6 states all with large vehicles. All in all, I would highly recommend this property to any and all groups / families.

Family trip to Dollywood

We had 18 guests ages 6-70. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beautiful location close to Dollywood, restaurants, and the Great Smokey Mountains. Host was quick to respond to questions. Great experience!

Comfortable and spacious

My friends and I 12 of us in all had a very nice relaxing weekend. The house is comfortable and spacious for a large group. The house could use a little TLC and could’ve been cleaner. The air hockey table doesn’t work very well, the pool table needs to be refinished and one of the hot tubs was broken but overall we really enjoyed the weekend and would stay again. Even with a full house, you could find a quiet spot to get away from people if needed. The kitchen, although a little small was well stocked. Thank you very much, Justine. Hopefully, we’ll stay with you next year.

Family Christmas Getaway

We had 18 total in our group & the cabin provided all of us comfortably. However, the kitchen is super small for a family of this size. I understand needing more space for all the rooms but be prepared for a small kitchen. We made breakfast/dinner it was tight with little counter space. The unlock and lock to the door was a learning curve for the older generation. We were very uncomfortable with the hand railing, highly recommend an inspection as 2 of the contractors in our family advised. Our Christmas tree lights didn’t work. We were there to celebrate Christmas with non working lights. We kept forgetting to get lights in town every time we left the cabin. 3rd floor toilet seat was broken & the toilet paper holder. I mssg the host serval times about our cabin and did not hear back from the host and have yet to hear back from the host. I contacted the property management team which I should’ve done in the first place and a very nice gentleman came out and brought a new toilet seat and fixed it. He forgot the toilet paper holder but we were fine just wanted them to know we didn’t break it. The air hockey table doesn’t blow air so the kids couldn’t play it…they still tried. Be sure to purchase/bring trash bags. Two refrigerators was a positive for our large group. Enjoyed the dining tables all together eating together as a family was nice. We enjoyed the cabin but wanted to share our stay. Communication through property management is recommended.

PERFECT!!!

This cabin is perfect! It’s in a great location, plenty of room, and wonderful views!! We even had a visit from 4 of the neighborhood bears! There was 20 of us and we never felt crowded! There was room for everyone to have their own personal space as well as plenty of room to spend time together!

Family Vacation

Just know the pics do no justice for this property. When we made it we were all amazed by the cabin. I would say the only thing would be needing just a tiny bit of more light on the balcony’s but over all everything was amazing. We all had a wonderful time!! I think our family loved the big screen with the surround sound the most.

Great house for family gatherings

The Smoky Mountain Mansion is a nice size for large groups. The main level living/dining room provided space for our family of 20 to all be together. The porches and additional living areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors allowed for smaller gatherings. Everyone enjoyed the two hot tubs! We appreciated having two refrigerators and ovens. The volume of pots, pans, dishes, silverware and other kitchen items was among the best we’ve encountered in a rental home. We reported a few issues and (host) promptly responded and sent someone to assist. Unfortunately, some of the things we had to call about should have been caught during routine cleaning and/or maintenance. Broken toilet seats, a non-working washer/dryer, and ants should have been noticed and addressed before we checked in. Additional towels (barely 1 per guest provided) and bath mats would have been appreciated. Our biggest concern was the overall cleanliness of the house. There were cobwebs and other things that showed the home only receives superficial cleaning. The floors, while swept, did not appear to have been mopped or otherwise cleaned in a long time. Within a few minutes of walking around inside, we noticed the bottoms of our feet were very dirty. With small children playing on the floor, this was disconcerting. Repair & routine maintenance, additional towels/bath mats, along with a deep cleaning of the home would make renting Smoky Mountain Mansion an even better experience.

Perfect company getaway

We came to this cabin as a work group outing. We all loved it. Enough bed and sleeping place for everyone. Also two big dining tables was the star as we all could have a meal together and have a chat. Huge balcony on all 3 floors. Overall great experience.
