The Storybook Cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful with a list of activities and places to visit.

This beautiful cottage was nothing short of a Fall Fairytale! Everything was perfect and we were so comfortable! It felt like home away from home! Jodee was absolutely amazing to work with and she made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful getaway. We will definitely be back!

Labor day escape

My husband, dog, and I had a lovely stay at storybook cottage. It was extremely quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The amenities were in excellent condition and easy to make use of. We're very much looking forward to a future visit!

Beautiful Escape

We had an amazing visit. The fall leaves were in full bloom and such a relaxing peaceful place to see them from. Close enough to attractions but far enough away that you feel away from the rush. It is a trip we will always remember.

The cottage was immaculate and beautiful! We did get to experience a bear visit on 2 separate occasions which we loved. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the gravel road leading to the cottage. It was steep in some places and very bumpy so we would recommend a 4 wheel drive. You can maneuver it once you get used to it.Thank you to Jodee for all of the recommendations and being a wonderful host.

Excellent getaway!

My wife and I LOVE this cabin! Very secluded which is difficult to find and very clean and comfortable!! The road is a little scary but once you don’t a few time you get use to it! Will certainly be staying at the storybook again!!

Wilderness wonderland. Storybook experience.

Most wonderful rental yet. Our host was fabulous. The property is awesome. Wildlife abundant. Home immaculatly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. If you are in Tennessee, this is where you should stay if you want seclusion and beauty.

July 4th week

Beautiful house with everything you could want for a relaxing week. Easy access to necessities & hiking in the park. The road can be a bit intimidating but it’s passable. The only wish would be that the hot tub would run more than 30 minutes at a time- still enjoyable though. We’d definitely stay again!

This was our second visit and we are sure it won’t be our last. Wonderful Smoky Mountain getaway. Beautifully designed for true nature experience. If you like serene beauty, look no further. Jodee is a jewel to communicate with.

A remote paradise

Storybook Cottage is truly paradise. It’s a beautiful, well appointed cottage in a remote location. We were visited by bears almost daily, often twice a day. The place has absolutely everything you could want. We hope to return in multiple seasons to enjoy this beauty. The owner was easily accessible and responsive. Overall a great experience.

Magical

This was our family's first time to the Smokeys and we could not have found a more perfect place to stay. The cottage was magical, better than in the pictures. The accomodations were beautiful and VERY VERY clean and comfy cozy. We saw a bear one evening (he probably smelled our grilled steak dinner). That was a thrilling experience for our family to share. Thank you Jodee for sharing your Amazing home with us, we will definitely be back!

Best Vacation

Surprised my wife with a last minute trip. It turned out to be better than I could have imagined. We hardly left the cottage, everything we could have wanted to see or do was right there. We watched nature hiked the property, had bon fires, played pool and grilled most meals. It was our best vacation ever, it was so peaceful and private and relaxing. Also, we were very impressed with the cleanliness, my wife is a clean freak so she was extra happy that it was super clean. We highly recommend this vacation spot. We are already planning our next trip.

One with nature

Beautiful cottage! Secluded! Peaceful! Enjoyed watching the squirrels play and eat, along with birds and raccoons. Saw raccoons eating the squirrel food every night after dark. We also saw a bobcat, and had bears visit to eat the squirrel food in two occasions. The road going in to the cottage was rather challenging and I would not suggest this listing for anyone with a car. We got in and out fine in our suv. We will be back. Best vacation in a long time.

Bears, birds and butterflies, OH MY! Truly a storybook cabin. It’s tucked into the forest and surrounded by wildlife. We saw 3 bears, one walked up while we were sitting by the hot tub. That was exhilarating! Zero interest in us. Hummingbirds right outside the big living room windows which are shaded by the surrounding tall trees. A tree had fallen in the driveway when we arrived and the owners were quick to get someone to remove it. Extremely informative direction with pictures. The drive in is a little treacherous but I think that adds to its allure. It’s secluded but not far from civilization. There was a food truck park in the small town maybe 10 minutes away. Food was great! Will definitely go back for a weekend getaway and I’m not normally a repeat customer even if I enjoy myself. I like variety but this place is perfect if you want to connect with nature:)

Exceptional property so good for the soul!

It's a challenge to capture the unique charm of Storybook Cottage, a place that has become a cherished retreat for my husband and me over the years. The intimate atmosphere, coupled with the meticulous attention to every detail, makes it a haven where we find ourselves lost in time, with no desire to leave the mountain. For those with a spirit of adventure, the area around Storybook Cottage is a treasure trove of activities and sights. I always make it a point to visit the primary location of Cades Cove Cellars, where I can sample their entire production, a luxury not available at their Wears Valley tasting room. And we never leave town before going to the Hillbilly Restaurant directly in front of you after you come down the mountain. The food never disappoints, and the inside is worth seeing. What truly sets this destination apart is Jodee's exceptional care for her guests. Her responsiveness, grace, and abundant kindness make our stays truly memorable, and we are always grateful for her warm hospitality. When friends and clients asked me where we went on vacation, I shared Storybook Cottage with them and strongly encouraged them to visit. Each quickly pulled up the cottage on their phones and said they would definitely be booking time there. I'm so happy to share Jodee's amazing piece of heaven with those I know and care about.

The property and cottage were fantastic! We loved the seclusion and streams. Our dog loved it. We had a cute touch of heart shaped towels for our Valentines weekend stay. We didnt have hot water when we go there but they were quick to get it resolved the next morning. One the best places we have stayed on vacation!

The cottage is pristine, luxurious, comfortable and full of amenities - so much to do! The area outside the cottage is breathtaking - surrounded by nature, enveloping you with a sense of peace and tranquility.
