This property is a rare find—truly a luxurious mountain retreat just outside Pigeon Forge. We’ve stayed in many high-end rentals with similar amenities (indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub, game room, theater), but this was the first that also offered such an expansive outdoor space. The two-acre lot made a huge difference for our family, with a playground, horseshoe pit, and fire pit giving the kids plenty of room to run, explore, and play.The highlight of our trip was an unexpected snow day, and this property made it unforgettable. The kids had endless space for snowball fights, building snowmen, and making snow angels—it honestly felt like our own private winter wonderland. In the evenings, the privacy and quiet really stood out. There was plenty of space to relax and unwind without ever feeling crowded or close to neighbors, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful.After a long day hiking and summiting Mt. LeConte, the massage chair was a total game changer—such a thoughtful and appreciated touch.The hosts were excellent throughout—communicative, responsive, and genuinely focused on making our stay enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were seamless and stress-free.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, amenity-packed mountain getaway.

We all loved our stay at the The Double Down Lodge. Everything we needed was there to make our stay as pleasant as could be! The home was clean, cozy and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The kids loved the home theater and game room. The pool was an extra bonus! Our host was always available and attentive when I had questions. We would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for comfort, quiet and relaxation!

Property was very clean, spacious and well equipped for our family vacation of 3 generations. The pool, game room and tv theater areas provided fun for all. We were in close proximity to Gatlinburg, Pigeon and Forge and other more rustic natural areas. Check in and Check out procedures were very clearly communicated to us. Minor problem with hot tub was taken care on very quickly. Kudos to the owners!

Great Vacation!!

We had a great time!!!! The place is clean and there is no shortage of things to do, parents if you have small children don’t be concerned about the pool area, both access doors are password protected to keep your little ones safe. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!!!

Not a Bad Vacation

The cabin is as pictured, no surprises. We all enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things that kept us from giving it 5 stars. The living room furniture isn’t comfortable at all. A few of the beds have gotten lumpy from people staying there a lot. The drive to the cabin is also a chore, especially in inclimate weather. Give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the cabin to Pigeon Forge and keep GPS handy. None of it was anything bad, just small things. We still had a good time and would recommend the cabin to others.

Mountain Christmas

Beautiful home, comfy beds, great pool table, great theatre room, kitchen very well stocked, totally enjoyed the fire pit area, enjoyed using the grill. We had a great week but were disappointed in two areas…the pool was way too small for our two grandsons (7 and 10) and they lost interest with no age-appropriate toys. The hardest thing to deal with was the uncomfortableness of all of the living room furniture. We felt the price of the rent was not shown at all in the comfortableness of being able to enjoy tge living area…by anyone.

Everything looking up at the Down!

Really great space for a family! Even had a Games Olympics, playing corn hole, pool, frizbee, etc! Beautiful property! The pool and hot tub got some use as well. We would love to come back

Peaceful Surroundings

Warm & Inviting, beautiful surroundings & view. We were a group of 11 including young kids and totally comfortable in the home with all the amenities we needed. Hosts were very helpful and available. Perfect distance from the attractions.

Summer in the Mountains

Beautiful house. Upstairs features a spacious master bedroom and a loft bedroom overlooking the living room. Main floor large kitchen, living space, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lower level has the game room, pool, movie theater and a bunk bedroom the boys snatched up. Loads of deck seating outside the main level, and another deck space below with the hot tub. Clearly, the lower level saw lots and lots of use. The kids were in the pool at least once or twice a day, many, many games of pacman, taught my grandsons how to shoot pool, and finished every night watching a movie in the 10 seat theater. Close to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Spring break Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Double Down Lodge with our three kids. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed playing games and watching movies in the evenings. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy there in our cabin. The location is perfect and allows for beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. The last couple of turns to get up to the cabin are pretty tight, but you just have to take it slow and it isn’t too bad at all. Our family appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of this cabin. We are very neat, tidy people ourselves, so we appreciate that in a vacation rental. The hostess was very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend this vacation home for your next trip to the Smoky Mountains!

Christmas Holiday

My family that consisted of 11 people ranging in age from 10 to 70 years old stayed at the Double Down over the Christmas holiday. The cabin was beautifully decorated. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and accurately depicted in the listing description and pictures. The game and theatre room was a big hit with both the adults and children. The check-in and out procedures were easy and convenient. Cabin was approximately 20-25 minutes from Pigeon Forge. The drive to the cabin, though curvy, was easy. You will not be disappointed in this cabin.

Fall break 2023

This house is amazing. It is a very quiet area. The pictures are exactly as posted. The kids had an absolute blast with the pool, game room, theater room, outdoor games and the firepit to make smores. I love everything about this house. There were 11 of us and we never once felt like we were on top of each other. We would definitely rent this cabin again in the future. The owner of this house is very easy to communicate with.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

A wonderful new build with all the amenities a family needs for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed every aspect of the house: the pool, hot tub, game room. We enjoyed a nice "movie night" in the theater room and had a nice hamburger cookout. We only saw one bear, but the sunrise and the trees made every moment in the cabin very picturesque.

Family Christmas Getaway

We rented the Double Down for Christmas this year. We had 10 Adults and 4 Children and the cabin was very spacious and comfortable. The weather was extremely cold and as a result all the parks closed. The movie theater and indoor pool were life savers!!! The kitchen was very well appointed and made it super easy for us to avoid crowds and cook at home. Krystelle was WONDERFUL to work with. Super responsive and accommodating. Would definitely rent from her again. Great location, super clean, and very well appointed.

Great property and location!

We had children ages ranging from 2 to 12 and the property was great for all of them. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Communication with property manager was prompt and positive. The pool smaller but perfect for the kiddos.

Gorgeous house in a beautiful area

We loved our stay in Pigeon Forge! The house is beautiful with plenty of space for our family of 11. It is in a perfect location to enjoy the stunning surrounding area. We spent time outdoors and then came back to cook, soak in the hot tub, and play in the pool. We spent evenings watching movies in the theatre room, playing pool, and of course making s’mores at the fire pit. Krystelle was very responsive when we had a question. Highly recommend!
