We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! Rod is an amazing host—so considerate, responsive, and thoughtful. You can truly tell that he and his team put a lot of care into making guests feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home. They really thought of everything.The cabin itself is lovely, cozy, and well-maintained, and our stay was nothing short of wonderful. There is a steep hill leading up to the cabin, but Rod clearly communicated this ahead of time and even provided an alternate route that takes a bit longer. If steep drives aren’t your comfort zone, just let him know—he’s very accommodating.Overall, we had an excellent experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend—definitely a 5-star stay!

We had a wonderful stay. Cabin was very clean and inviting. We prepared several meals. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. Beds were very comfortable. There were 7 of us traveling and we had plenty of space. The best part was the communication with the owner. They were quick to respond, kind, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here and will return.

Great amenities that really help out. Stocked with dishes, paper towels, zip lock bags, aluminum foil, towels. WiFi and DirecTV work great. Hot tub is very clean. Weber has grill with plenty of gas was great to have. Everything at the cabin works. Host let me know early check in and late check out was available. Would definitely stay with this host at one of their properties again.

How often do you arrive at a location and the pictures are exactly the reality of the rental?! Run, don’t walk, to this rental because it is outstanding and even better in person than the pictures portray! Rod is an amazing host and very communicative. We enjoyed a beautiful stay in the Smokies. This was a hop, skip, and a jump from Dollywood. Rent with confidence. Thank you for the memorable stay Rod.

Ever hear of bait and switch? We've experienced that in many vacation rentals. This rental is FAR from that concept! The cabin is clean, everything in the listing is accurate. The kitchen is well equipped--we made at least one meal, most days two plus snacks here. The option of having a crock pot slow cooker was most welcome! We enjoyed long walks and porch sitting. Can't really tell you much about the entertainment systems available, as our focus was on spending time with our adult children and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. One caveat--as folks who live at the beach, we were not prepared for the step incline of the road. Our rental SUV handled it fine, just don't be surprised at that final turn, especially if you enter for the first time as we did well after dark. We're looking forward to returning in the future!

This cabin was wonderful, so many extras that we have not found in other rentals. Well stocked kitchen, real toilet paper (soft, not scratchy), comfy beds, soft linens. The carport was nice too, roomy enough for 2 Harley trikes and 1 Harley motorcycle. An added bonus was the mama bear and 3 cubs that visited us one morning. A definite charm in Shagbark!

This place was amazing! It was in a gated community but not on top of other cabins, very private and comfortable! The communication with Rod was great, they provided everything you would need from dishes, seasonings, coffee and ect!

This was our first time using VRBO and I will probably never book any other way after this. Check in was so easy . Our owners were fantastic. They surprised us with free early check in. The cabin was spotless when we arrived . They truly think of everything you need to make this your home away from home for a week . The mattresses were comfortable, the dining area : very cozy , cable tv , although we didn’t use it. Everything we needed to make family dinners . Paper products, hand soap , laundry detergent - you name it, they thought of it. The owners communicated in the weeks ahead of time to share some of their favorites in town , let us know where the grocery stores were , etc. couldn’t be happier !

Dollywood/Pigeon Forge trip with family

We had a great time enjoying Dollywood and other attractions around Pigeon Forge. The cabin was a great distance—not too close to all of the congestion but close enough to be an easy drive. The cabin is in a beautiful location and well maintained. It had everything we needed, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, etc. The community pool was nice and not crowded. At the end of the day we liked relaxing in the hot tub. It was a nice property.

The cabin was very nice. The arcade machine and pool table were nice touches. The Weber grill unexpected. The security guard at the gate where we entered the grounds was not helpful and almost rude. I did not have cell phone connectivity to look up the cabin code, and he was unable and unwilling to assist me. But I would come again, and just take the cell phone lack of coverage into acccount.

Comfort

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It met all our needs with the three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Rod was so nice to assist us and let us even check in earlier in the day than scheduled which worked out extremely well since our granddaughter needed a nap after lunch. There were a nice place to park and turn around and just far out of town enough for quietness but close enough to the main town. We will definitely stay with them again.

Very disappointed . Downstairs bed was very uncomfortable. Downstairs bedroom had a king bed which took up the majority of the room making it difficult to get out of one side. Shower doors had visible soap scum and looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned very well from last guest. The pool table had a large L shaped rip in the felt. Walls and floors were very thin. When anything hit the ground upstairs it was extremely loud and startling downstairs. We could hear conversations in the roomAbove us. We had to cut our stay short and was only able to stay one night instead of 2due to severe weather alerts, snow. We received Alerts from The owner recommending not to travel due to weather, so we left the next morning. The following morning after we checked out, we received notifications that cars had been abandoned on the mountain and were unable to make it to the cabins. We requested partial refund for the night and days we didn’t get to stay and were denied. I feel like we should have received a partial refund due to the weather because it was out of our control. We apparently made the right decision to leave based on safety . The Cabin served the purpose but wasn’t worth 648 For less than 24 hours that we were there. Upon arriving at the gate we were given directions to the cabin. The recommended road was very steep &dangerous. We were visibly shaken upon arrivalWe were later told we should have followed GPS directions, not those provided toUs. No attempt toCompromise
