This is a great place to accommodate 30 people. More than enough room so you wont feel packed into one place. The pictures describe exactly what you are looking at. The owners checked in thru out our stay to see if we needed anything. Will definitely be booking with them again.

Great get away!

This comfy home (cabin) provided just the minute seclusion with a bit of a neighborhood feel that my family and i were looking for on this trip. The amenities, the scenery, & the communication throughout the stay with the property manager was awesome! The experience alone is due a great review

Loved it!

The cabin was set up perfectly! We had more than enough room to be able to sit around, have game nights, family dinners, it was the perfect space. I think the only downside we had was the noisy cabin next door. The hosts were very responsive to any and everything we asked and we were even able to get in early. I would highly recommend staying here again!

Great place for groups

We had a great time at this cabin. It had so much room and plenty of parking. It was close to restaurants and things to do. We did have an issue with a pull out couch, but the management sent someone out quickly and resolved our issue right away. I would definitely stay here again the next time I need to bring a group.

Thanksmas Together

Our group has been getting together for Thnksmas in the mountains for 13 years . This cabin is one of the best places we have stayed. It is clean and well appointed. Drive to the cabin is relatively easy. There are enough parking places. We had a wonderful time .

Great vacation

We had 19 people. We had plenty room. Everyone had a blast. Would definitely use this lodge again.

Great Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Family gathering

It is a great cabin in an accessible location near many attractions. Only problem was the hot water ,though they were diligent, it took them 3 days to figure out it was the thermostat and fix the issue. Other than that I recommend it.

Wonderful Stay

The cabin was spacious enough for our family gathering of 23. There was enough indoor and outdoor space for us not to feel like we were on top of each other. Also the kitchen was well equipped for preparing large meals, so no real issues there. The area is really quiet and peaceful. The cabin is in a cul-de-sac with a few other cabins but we had no issues with noise from them, nor with parking. Overall everyone enjoyed our stay.

50th Anniversary with famiky

We all loved this cabin and we used every inch of it. We had 21 in our group and we needed the extra space along with the double kitchen appliances. Every bedroom had its own bathroom which is awesome. The game area was such a bonus! The personal communication with the property owners was absolutely very much appreciated. Great time! We hope to make this an annual event and we will definitely be contacting Thomas Properties!

Black bear lodge was a great experience for me and my family. Everything you need was right there.

We had a great time here. No complaints. This cabin will always be our go to spot when visiting Tennessee 😍. The property was clean, everything the said they had to offer was TRUE!!!! My husband is a very skeptical man about certain. For him to say he REALLY REALLY ENJOYED HIMSELF AND HE READY FOR THE NEXT TRIP, shows that this Cabin is the place to be. And most of all the kids enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend Thomas Rental Properties for all of your rental needs.

Early family Thanksgiving

Our family, all19 members, enjoyed this property. It’s far enough away from Pigeon Forge for that “in the mountains “ feeling, but only about 10 minutes away from restaurants and the heartbeat of Pigeon Forge. The openness of the main floor is really great for the total family experience! Two ranges, two refrigerators, etc. meets all your needs for a large get together. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again! It’s very clean! Plenty of parking! Check in process is the easiest ever! You won’t go wrong by booking this property!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 30 people enjoyed the Black Bear Lodge property. The property was clean and spacious enough for all of us. We had to call the host to confirm a broken chair and an issue with one of the stove. However, the host responded right away and sent someone out right away. Besides that, the whole family enjoyed the stay at the property and would go back again.

Ruined Christmas

The property was beautiful and was everything we expected. However, the heat stopped working 2 hours after arriving and we were given space heaters that did nothing to warm the cabin. There were no other concessions made to make sure my family was warm and safe. The temperature hovered around 4°F with a wind chill of -10°.

Family gathering

Great property, comfortably furnished, well stocked kitchen, property manager very responsive. We had a group of 36 family members. This property accomodated us very nicely. I highly recommend it to anyone with a large group. The complimentary thickets to local attractions is a nice benefit. We fixed all of our meals on site. The kitchen equipment accomodated our needs nicely. The one drawback was the lack of sharp knives, there was a good selection of knives but not one sharp one. Bring a sharp knife. I highly recommend this property.

Cabin

We were disappointed in the cleanliness and condition of cabin. It shows a lot of wear. Cooking pans in poor condition. It is well stocked with dishes and eating utensils though. We did have a good time but would not stay at this particular cabin again. Needs a good cleaning and some updating.

Constructive feedback part 1

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed July 24-31. I would not agree that his home sleeps 44 people. We had 32 people and it was crowded. We would like to offer some suggestions on what could be done to improve for future visitors. A family of 7 used the main floor bunkbed room. There was no place to put the luggage or any of our items. This room has one tiny dresser with three drawers and no closet. In the master bedrooms, if the sofa bed was extended out so that it was right up against the king bed, so if there are two people sleeping there, one of them will have to crawl over the other to get out of bed. Our feet went black from walking on the unclean floor. We called the management company because we had infants crawling on the floor. The management company did send someone out, but he had a Swiffer mop and a spray bottle. The floors remained dirty. We had also black feet from walking on the carpet, which was very dirty. They must either be changed or shampooed. The carpet in one of the upstairs master bedrooms was torn and had a big hole in it. We went to the local Walmart and bought slippers so we would not have to walk on the floors. The air conditioner did not function properly. The temperature would fluctuate greatly from one night to the next. The bunk bedroom on the top floor was constantly warm. The shower curtain in this bedroom's bathroom was moldy, and the sink and shower faucets were both broken. There are two stackable, extremely small washers and dryers. To finish a typical load, many loads were required. Even with 32 people we were able to make it work. The neighborhood pool is a small one. One day, we tried to go, but the pool was crowded with around 25 people standing shoulder to shoulder. The pots and pans lacked quality and were outdated. Despite our best efforts to keep it from requiring extra work to clean, everything we cooked was sticking to the bottom. The windows on the rear porch lacked screens.
