We enjoyed this cabin more than any other cabin we have stayed at over the last several years and hope to stay again. Everything was absolutely set up perfect and what a beautiful place, they have you set up with absolutely everything you could need or want. The ease of parking was great, perfectly located in what we feel is the heart of the valley and best area to stay. This cabin is exceptionally clean and well kept, I cant say enough how great of a place and location!!!!

Awesome property

Loved the house. Such a perfect layout for our family and views of the mountain were fantastic. Only small downside is that the community pool referenced in the listing is not actually in the neighborhood by the house and their was no indication of where it actually was.

Family Vacation

Relaxing was long overdue for all of us. As soon as we arrived we felt at home. The views were amazing. There was something for everyone at Potters House Retreat. Location is perfect. We love staying in the Wears Valley area. This was our first time staying directly off the main road. It made it very easy to get out into town without mountain roads. We enjoyed our stay! And can’t wait to go back!!!
Watching the moonrise over the mountains from the deck was one of our favorite sites!

Nice place to stay and relax

The cabin is a great place to stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The view of the mountains from the patio is amazing. The communication with the host is very good, they gave us all the information you need when you need it and they will answer very fast to every request we had.We loved the beautiful decorations in the cabin and the details in every single room (everything is about the black bears).If you love animals, as we do, you get to see a lot of different birds, deers, bunnies and lady bugs around. The cleanliness was great when we checked in and we had plenty of supplies in the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms.The hot tub is located outside in a very beautiful patio so you can relax after enjoying all the activities around.It is definitely a very peaceful place to stay and enjoy.

Lovely time away with family

This was a great house for our family trip. Clean, comfy, homey feeling with plenty of space for our whole crew. We loved the views from the patio! We enjoyed being close to town for all the fun, but far enough away to enjoy the peace of the country. The kids really liked the pool and the game room. Host was very good with communication during our stay.

Scenic retreat

Host was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns. The home is in a beautiful setting and everything is as pictured. The Two General stores nearby are fun and inexpensive. Elvira’s is great for breakfast. Lots of birds. The deck is so enjoyable to sit on every evening to watch stars or storms. Highly recommend. Great for families of all ages. So much to see and do. Wish we could have stayed longer. Book without hesitation.

Potter's House

We enjoyed this cabin so much! We have stayed at 2 other cabins in this area within the last 6 months and this was by far the best, we highly recommend it. Our grandkids spent the night with us and they loved it!

Perfect Smokey Mtn Stay

Stunning views, quiet yet convenient location, and rustic cabin charm. It’s the total package. New kitchen and bathroom renovations are beautiful and make this chalet compete with new builds - but this place has a charm they could never compete with. Seriously among the best views in the entire area. Host was very impressive and so communicative, made everything even better.

Living on mountain time

Beautiful views! Some of the best ever! Great location. Loved the cabin, plenty of room. Spent most of our time in the game room. Lots of deck space outside to take in those wonderful views!

Great Location

The location is great for anyoke who wants to be out of town, yet in the middle of everything at the same time. Its not to far from town or the park. For bikers (which is why we went) it is a great location. You dont have the traffic in town to deal with to get to where all the great roads are to ride. It was a quiet area and the cabin was spacious and clean.

Warm and Cozy Vibes with a view. Grab your coffee and a rocking chair!

Loved loved loved! Gameroom was a hit with all the ages. Warm nostalgic vibe reminded me of Grandmas house in a milk and cookies and fresh apple pie kind of way. Great deck space to enjoy the view and share memorable moments with family and friends Plenty of outdoor space for kids to run around too. Will definitely be coming back! burn some energy

A wonderful place for a family vacation with beautiful views!

This was our first time staying down Wears Valley close to Townsend and it was a great experience! The place is very nice and well setup to provide something for everyone while you are staying here. The pool access you get was nice, literally 5 minutes down the street. But let’s be honest, the views you get of the mountains and the quietness you get from being away from town is unmatched!! We had a wonderful week and will definitely add it to our list of places to return back to!

Quiet Location

We really enjoyed our stay at Potter's House. It was easily accessible and met all of our needs. Our teens really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The area was very quiet and made relaxing easy.

Family togetherness

We had our daughters & their families come stay w us for a few days. The home was clean, plenty of room & stocked with some starter coffee & toiletries. We enjoyed the local restaurants & the jeep rental place on the corner was awesome as well.
