Ideal Maryland Family Weekend

River Breeze was an amazing property for our family of 8 gathering for a 90th Birthday Party for my Mom. I grew up in the area & moved to Canada 40 years ago but am always homesick for MD. This beautiful property offers a true, authentic Maryland experience on the Magothy River. It's location manages to be both private & secluded while also being nearby any store for groceries, etc. It is spacious and cozy. The bedroom layout was ideal for 6 adults & 2 grandkids (4 & 18 mo.) The house is very clean and very well appointed with everything needed. We loved relaxing & eating on the screen porch-beautiful water views at sunset & dawn. We had fun crabbing from the pier & having smores by the campfire. Lots of yard for the kids to run & play. It was a magical weekend and we can't wait to return. Definitely recommend.

Fun property for family

We had an excellent time at this home which was perfect for making family memories. The dock was perfect for docking a boat and the children had fun in the water off the steps. There were many fun floats included in the boat house. The home was spacious and the dining table was spacious enough where we could all gather for meals. Our only minor inconvenience was that we needed more forks than were provided in the kitchen. I would definitely return to River Breeze someday.

Relaxing weekend!

My family and I picked River Breeze for our annual fishing and crabbing trip where we spend a long weekend fishing, crabbing, and relaxing. This home was the perfect home for this trip! We had a wonderful stay, the host was super communicative, and overall it was super relaxing.

Short trip to Annapolis

House was very nice and very clean. Short walk to the water. About 20 minutes from Annapolis where you can get great food and do some shopping in the historic area.

We were very pleased to see the house very clean upon arrival. We’ve stayed in many rentals stateside and international and have been disappointed in the past. Also, we were impressed that there were starter packs of dish soap and sponge, laundry detergent, trash bags, dishwasher pods, and toilet paper. As a family of six, this is always essential for us! Another lovely touch was the bottle of wine left for us. The kids enjoyed fishing off the personal fishing pier. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and you still have access to an abundance of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes. Overall a great stay and highly recommend!

The Perfect Annapolis Respite

This review is directed toward a certain kind of renter: You have a kid at the Naval Academy and want a secluded spot with lots of space to hive away your midshipman for rest and relaxation. For that, nothing beats River Breezes. We wondered if it might be too far away from The Yard. It’s not. By car, a quick 15 minute trip down Route 2 to Annapolis. By bike, even better: a 35-minute cruise down the glorious B&A Trail. The grounds and the house and the dock and the Magothy River unfold before you in quick succession after you park. The air conditioning chills the interior, beautifully and comfortably furnished, with great lighting and technology. The exterior affords an awesome view of the sunrise, best appreciated sitting with a friend or a dog, or both, with a complimentary Keurig coffee at the end of the dock. Evenings are perfect for barbecuing, made better by a humble looking gas grill that, in actual fact, is the hottest cooking unit I’ve ever used. A real toaster! Nighttime lulls you to sleep in River Breezes with soft, comfortable beds, seemingly everywhere. One extra amenity we used that we’d recommend highly. That gorgeous dock and boat lift aren’t just for show: we rented a 23-foot Carolina Skiff through Boatsetter. The owner delivered it to the dock for our stay and we used it constantly, tubing for hours and cruising to the edge of Chesapeake Bay. We would have journeyed on to Annapolis but, alas, River Breezes beckoned us back for cocktail hour.

Fantastic waterfront property!

What a wonderful house and what a perfect stay! The pictures really don't do this property justice. The house is excellent - literally everything is updated. We regularly rent VRBO properties and they never have as many creature comforts as this. Making it all even better is the waterfront view of the Magothy River and the private dock. We caught crabs, watched the sunrise, did some fishing... all in our own backyard. Can't recommend highly enough.

Peaceful riverside retreat

My whole party had a great time. The warm days we spent on the water, which was so convenient to access from the backyard. The rainy days we had plenty to choose from within a 30 minute drive to keep the kids busy.

Wonderful setting. Very convenient to restaurants. Well supplied with kitchen and bath necessities. Lovely view of river sitting on the porch. Lots of birds and water life. Highly recommend.

Family ties

The property is lovely. We only stayed a couple of nights because our family was in the area to celebrate the wedding of close friends. We did not realize that there would be another renter on the property, the listing had mentioned that the guest cottage was available but we had thought it was if we needed it for more people, not that it was a joint rental. It was chilly because the thermostat was not responsive. The management company was very responsive, but due to the brevity of our stay, this did not get resolved while we there. Overall I would recommend.

Great retreat on the water

We stayed for a family event and really enjoyed our time. Hosts were very responsive. Dock is wonderful, and house was well set up for a multi generational family. Enjoyed the fire pit and the lovely view!

Beautiful property on bay

This lovely river front property was great for us, our children & grandchildren while visiting Baltimore. Beautiful views and huge yard leading to dock. We were able to get a rapid response from the management company when we arrived and the heat was off and they were able to remedy the situation the same day. Some odd things about the site. There was only a Keurig coffeemaker for a house with space for 13, and only one kitchen towel. Very limited paper products and no tissues. However, extra sheets were available. Overall a very nice place.

Perfect for family gathering

This is a really beautiful property. The location of the house right on the water made for a beautiful view. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything was clean and lovely to look at. The kitchen was very functional and we made many meals in it. Easy communication with the managers of the property. We hope to return to this property in the future

Relaxing stay and beautiful property!

This property is awesome! Fabulous grounds and tastefully decorated, newly renovated, home. Very clean and more than enough space for our group of 9 (7 adults, 2 toddlers). Check-in, check-out and communication with the property owner, Cathy, were all very easy. She was extremely responsive. The property and grounds look exactly like the pictures and anything that we needed was a short drive away (groceries etc.). Would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing trip!

Review

We enjoyed our stay in Maryland. The house had a beautiful view and we even rented a boat and caught crabs with the crab traps on the dock. The dining table was large and great for large meals together. We swam in the water and it was shallow enough to walk in all the way down to the ladder. I would suggest bringing pool noodles or a float to enjoy the water. The negatives would be the size of the third bathroom. The shower is really too small and the water would go from cold to extremely hot. When it rained it was hard to use the patio space because water still came in through the screens. It would also get very warm so we bought a box fan to use and it helped a lot for the warm summer days and nights. The counter space in the kitchen was limited for meal prep but there were some great local spots to eat out (about a 20 minute drive for restaurants on the water). Overall it was a great experience and would be great for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation.

Bay house weekend

House is clean and nicely appointed. Was surprised at the lack of a microwave in the kitchen (unless it was hidden somewhere?), but the dual ovens made up the difference. Instagram worthy views of the lake, no filter needed.
