The apartment was comfortable & homey, & the hillside view of the Tuscany hills was beautiful. Alvaro was a gracious host that went the extra mile to make sure our stay was the best it could be. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a hideaway outside of the hustle & bustle of Florence. Thank you Alvaro we look forward to seeing you again sometime soon!

A Truly Special Easter Holiday

Our Easter holiday in Italy was simply unforgettable. Alvaro and his family welcomed us so warmly – we felt at home from the very first moment. The accommodation is a dream, with breathtaking views of Florence and surrounded by beautiful nature. There are wonderful hiking trails everywhere, charming little restaurants, and so many lovely details that made our stay truly special.Our children absolutely loved it, and we enjoyed every single minute. Of course, there were a few small negative things, but that’s just part of the experience – it makes the memories even more real.It was a time full of happiness and beautiful moments. We will definitely come back with all our hearts. Thank you for everything!

Serene View of Florence

This property keeps what it promises. Marvelous view of above Florence from the terrace. Very quiet and comfortable. Alvaro the host, is always very helpful with tips for the surrounding area. And is keen on making your stay pleasant and memorable any way he can.

Tranquil stay outside Florence

We enjoyed our stay in this charming and updated farmhouse. Our host Alvaro was helpful and communicated very promptly and clearly. Some things it's important to know about the property: 1. The roads leading in are very winding, 1-lane (2-way) roads and can be challenging especially at night. You have to execute an uphill 3-point turn to get into the driveway. If you are not comfortable with this kind of driving, it's not a good fit for you. 2. Driving into Florence is pretty easy, but takes ~30 min and you will need to pay for parking. Drive to bus is an option but takes a while and the buses can be unreliable (ours had special changed routes and schedules so it was a long trip). 3. The area of this rental is quiet and peaceful; there are no stores or restaurants in walking distance. There is good hiking nearby. 4. There is one bathroom, and neither the second bed (foldout) in the 2nd bedroom nor the sofa was very comfortable. We found the kitchen fairly well stocked, and appreciated being able to do laundry and dry it easily on a provided rack. The wi-fi worked perfectly. If the description suits what you need and you are OK with the location, it's a lovely place and the hosts are wonderful people.

A beautiful and picturesque property! Alvaro and Viviene are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We came over for the MogoGP and the Mugello circuit is 30 minutes drive away (longer on the Sunday due to much more traffic) and coming back to the peace and tranquility after a hectic day at the track I was bliss.Florence is also only a 20 minute drive away. A car is a must due to the location but worth it for the spectacular views :) Leanne & Andy

Wunderschön!

Es war ein sehr schöner Kurzurlaub für uns! Das gemütliche Haus ist bestens ausgestattet, vorbildlich sauber und hat eine wunderschöne Lage mit einem tollen Blick auf Florenz, den wir sehr genossen haben. Die Vermieter – sowohl Frau Dietsche als auch Alvaro sind sehr nett, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar – vielen Dank dafür! Man wohnt in einer herrlichen Ruhe umgeben von Olivenhainen und toller Natur, ist aber auch sehr schnell in Florenz – für uns eine perfekte Kombination. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Heerlijk verblijf in heuvels bij florence

Lovely host(s) and wonderfully convenient location with views over old Florence. Very nice self catering property in which to stay and we were looked after very well by Viviane and Alvaro. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Einfach nur fabelhaft

Es war einfach einer der wunderbarsten Urlaube, die wir je verbracht haben. Dank auch an unsere Gastgeberin, die immer hilfsbereit war und geduldig alle unsere Fragen umgehend, umfassend beantwortet hat. Der Blick auf Florenz von der Terasse und vom Schlafzimmerfenster ist einfach atemberauend, unbeschreiblich und unvergesslich. Die Stadt erreicht man mit dem Auto sehr schnell, einfach und gut. Wir haben in der Regel im Parkhause Parterre an der Via del Ponte Rosso 4 ganztägig geparkt. Angefangene Stunde kostete 2 Euro, ganzer Tag 15 Euro. Von dort war alle gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit dort, alles genoßen und waren traurig, diesen wunderschönen Ort verlassen zu müssen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Very Helpfu Hosts

Wonderful farmhouse with amazing views. Rented a car at the airport, roads were a little tricky. Alvarro showed us the best routes and helped us out when we had car trouble.

Cosy villa in the Tuscan Hills

The house is beautifully situated overlooking a Valley full of olive trees, and ultimately the city of Firenze (Florence). All the conveniences are there - the place is well equipped and very comfortable. Our hostess (and her son) were very accomodating and helpful. The weather turned a little cool and our hostess kindly brought over wood for a fire, making for a very cosy evening! Unfortunately we did not get to use the hot tub but it looked very inviting. As with most locations in Tuscany, be prepared to drive on hilly roads that are quite narrow and sometimes very steep. Still, the drive is worth it once you get there!

Frau Dietsche ist eine äußerst liebenswerte Gastgeberin.

Alles war wie beschrieben. Ausstattung einschl. Betten, Schränke, Bad und Küche auf sehr gutem Niveau. Tolle Lage, aber unbedingt der Wegbeschreibung von Frau Dietsche folgen, nicht dem Navi! Nachdem wir uns an die engen Straßen gewöhnt hatten, fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Herzlichen Dank, liebe Frau Dietsche, für einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

Also, Wir waren sehr gut aufgehoben bei Viviane. Sehr schönes Haus, sehr nette Gastgeberin

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und in jeder Beziehung zu empfehlen. Was man vielleicht beachten sollte: es ist wirklich recht abgelegen in den Hügeln vor Florenz. Wenn man viel unterwegs sein und die Toskana entdecken möchte, fährt man immer erst eine gewisse Strecke auf engen Straßen. Vielen Dank an Viviane für einen rundum schönen Aufenthalt! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, konnten wandern, abschalten und unsere Seelen baumeln lassen.

Gastfreundlich in wundervoller Lage und gemütlicher Einrichtung

Meine Schwester und ich verbrachten dort 11 Tage. Vor der Abreise erhielten wir eine genaue Wegbeschreibung und wurden bei Ankunft auf dem Berg von Vivienne herzlich begrüßt und betreut. Sie ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin und wir konnten ihr wohlschmeckendes selbst geerntetes Olivenöl kosten und Zitronen ernten. Der Whirlpool ist an einem einzigartigen Ort angelegt mit atemberaubendem Blick in die toskanische Landschaft und auf Florenz. Wir konnten eine sehr erholsame Zeit in dem gemütlichen Haus und auf der wunderschönen Terasse verbringen und viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternehmen . Der Weg hinauf in die Berge war zuerst abenteuerlich, aber dann jedes Mal mit neuen Entdeckungen verbunden . Der Abschied fiel uns schwer. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen .

De lokatie was prima, de familie was zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam super!!

Alles was prima je mocht zelfs kersen plukken als je er zin in had, de verhuurster erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk ook haar zoon,de weg ernaar toe is zeer smal slecht wegdek vol diepe gaten en er gaan verschillende smalle wegen erna toe allen gelijk qua slechtheid,en openbaar vervoer niet goed zijn net overgenomen de lijst 2021 hangt nog.wij wilden rond half 5 terug maar een vriendelijke buschauffeur vertelde dat het nog maar de vraag of het busje wel reed,volgens hem reed hij na 15 uur niet meer,later in de week zagen we het busje om 20 uur nog een keer.hij heeft voor ons een taxi besteld zou 15 euro kosten ,werd uiteindelijk 25 euro taxichauffeur had moeite met de route moest alles in navigatie nogmaals invoeren terwijl meter doorliep.nou ja jammer,dat was het enige min punt maar de plek zeer mooi huisje goed en mensen erg vriendelijk

Sehr schöner ruhiger erholsamer Urlaub

Wir waren Ende Oktober/ Anfang November 2019 für eine Woche da! Unterkunft war sauber und umfangreich ausgestattet! Einziges kleines Manko, es fehlte ein Backofen, wo man z.B. morgens Semmeln aufbacken kann! Vom Whirlpool im Garten hatte man einen wunderschönen Blick auf Florenz! Die Vermieterin Vivane Dietsche war sehr nett, hat uns bei Fragen immer weitergeholfen und machte uns stets mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten eine Freude! Was wir auch super fanden, dass sie uns die Lebensmittel für unser erstes Frühstück eingekauft hat! Die Unterkunft ist für Familien mit Kindern sehr geeignet, da auch Frau Dietsche sehr kinderlieb ist! Mit wenigen Worten ein rundum gelungener erholsamer Urlaub in der wunderschönen Toskana! Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder!

Abseits vom Tourismus

Ein sehr schönes Domizil abseits des Tourismus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch unser Hund wurde herzlich Willkommen geheißen . Die Hausbesitzerin Frau Dietsche war sehr nett und hat unseren Urlaub durch ihr Engagement zu einer schön Erholungszeit werden lassen. Ganz lieben Dank Ihnen! Der Whirlpool war auch eine tolle Ergänzung zum Ferienwohnungsangebot. Wir können uns gut vorstellen wieder zu kommmen.

Beautiful, peaceful, farm-like atmosphere, near Florence

This was a great stay in a beautiful location near Florence. We didn't want to stay in the city, so chose this lovely house, with many amenities. The host is a nice lady who was very helpful and friendly. She even helped us to reserve tickets at the Uffizi museum in Florence. There is a great hot tub to soak in as you watch the lights of the city down below the mountain. Florence is about 20-30 minutes away, and very convenient by bus. I wish we had more time there, and will recommend this place whole-heartedly.
